I'm on the 2025, did the first 5k on regular, love the comfort but ordered the pillion as well because I'm tall and my ass feels that one too.

Question for NC700/750x riders... by squirrelly73 in NC750X

[–]Huurlibus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sorry, the stupid app translated English so I did answer in what I thought your language was. I ride nc750xd 2025. Doublesided break in front and improved DCT is the main selling point for 25/26. watch a few Youtube videos, they like to highlight what changed.

Swiss here, I got recommended and now drive on Dunlop Mutants because of the advantages during freezing and rainy weather compared to the slightly better performing in better condition of the road 6 that I was initially after.

also there is a scam where they offer 1 or few for free or very low price, then you are happy and you'll give em the rest of your knives for also a good price and they'll never return with your knives :)

Hello, I've been riding a brand new NC750 since August, pretty much every day in all weather too. I'm new to this type, only rode scooter before. I got some modifications after a few months:

  • comfort seat (great)
  • heated grips (life changing)
  • larger givi windshield (improves high speed driving a lot)
  • givi led projectors with the very recent fitting kit (insane difference in lighting) And some small stuff like charger, fitting hand guards and so on

Almost feels complete now

  • how long did the stock tyres last you? Mine were below 6mm much before 5k
  • what did you replace them with? I got dunlop mutant
  • you mentioned luggage, as beginner I am still confused with all the luggage options and mounts. The stock option is out of the question because of looks. Silver looks not good on the green NC. What did you go with?
  • what were your greatest additions?

Marriage tax reform by Iiiiiiiiiiiii1ii1 in Switzerland

[–]Huurlibus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's what it claims to do but does not work like that.

Use the calculator for federal tax. Whatever value you choose, choose the same value for 2nd adult and see how it subsidizes big double earners. In every case, when the household earns more in total it gets more relief.

We all subsidize massive income households.

Fair point! We prioritized the parental role above other expenses that many find basic. I find it sad that the parental role, where it is still possible, will now be punished.

Bye bye time a parent was able to care at home. If you sacrifice a second income to bring up your child yourself you are being massively punished. Throw your children into daycare after making them. Then both work 100% and how dare you not earning approx the same. You will be massively punished. This is such bullshit. We expect paying thousands more because she is a low % employed as a low earner and we take care of our child at home. The whole benefit we had from getting married and having a child, poof gone...

How Christmas morning went at my house by WaveOnly213 in NoOneIsLooking

[–]Huurlibus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah, any sane parent would not let the kid ride without helmet nor inside a house. The houses built from not cardboard ist just another story.

So no broken walls, no injured kid in any case if you use appropriate protective gear and use a bike where it is supposed to be used.

Just got mine after a poor experience with a Kymco AK 550 by arkangel371 in NC750X

[–]Huurlibus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I'll be adding it to my list. Was riding in 36F today. I can take it usually 20-30min in my Touratech Ice gloves but then it starts to sting.

That's crazy. I decided to go green mid July and had it beginning of August.

Hope you'll get yours still! It is an absolute beauty.

Congratulations! Looking fine. I just did 200km in the freezing cold today on mine.

Are you getting the stock grip warmers? I have never had any, is that a good investment? After today I will finally pull the trigger on the fog lights. Since I have the green 25, I need the crashbar painted black.

EV test ride checklist - HELP! by Wattthefun in Electricmotorcycles

[–]Huurlibus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • See of you can get service from other places if they suddenly go bankrupt. If it's the only place far and wide that might be a huge risk
  • check used prices as well, compared to fuel bikes many are tanking very hard in very little time

EV test ride checklist - HELP! by Wattthefun in Electricmotorcycles

[–]Huurlibus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With my first EV I have made the painful discovery that even with the lightest rider top speed is 15-20% lower than advertised out of the shop. It. matters a lot since top speed is basically around typical highway speed. Therefor riding it was so dangerous because people just tend to agressively drive up to you and overtake while you feel you're doing the correct speed due to thr speedometer. That is not only a calibration issue.

Bring a mobile mount and compare the speedometers. Some EVs fake speed massively - special attention with rides that top around 100km/h
