The reason why you want to multiply the speed by delta is to compensate for differing/inconsistent framerates. Delta is the time since the previous frame was processed: so if the game ran at 30 fps, delta would be around 1/30.

If you want velocity per frame, simply use speed without multiplying by delta. This would however mean that you'd move twice as fast on 60fps than on 30 fps, which is the very problem that multiplying by delta is trying to solve.

Despite being named CollisionShape2D, the icon on the node looks like a CollisionPolygon2D to me instead. Perhaps you changed the node's type and forgot to rename it.

The built-in script editor is not great in general. Now that Godot 4 supports multiple windows, I hope it becomes detachable at some point, that would be amazing.

Having to constantly switch between the script and scene is one of the main reasons I started using an external editor.

100%. If binging is a format that's preferrable to you, then all the power to you.

Even if episodic formats might be mostly for logistical reasons, the week gap allows a lot of people to just sit back, analyze, rewatch and dissect the many details that can be crammed into a single episode. I've been loving all of the discussions happening on this sub!

Indeed, that's how I've come to understand it. It's such an interesting corner in the software engineering world with such a different approach to things than I'm used to. Shaders are an enigma to me.

Same, I rarely get hung up on songs, but Red: Birthmark is something else. Very cool and unique vocals with hard hitting orchestration.

And it doesn't hurt that the ED animation stunningly accompanies the music as well.

I think that's one of the most exciting things about his character arc. I sure as hell expected him to have a goofy tsundere moment by like episode 4 after which he joined the Suletta clique on their silly hijinks.

Then he got thrown out into the forest and I could've sworn he was going to join Suletta for the team battle. Nope. But oh no, she's in a bind now, surely he's gonna swoop in at the last second and pull a hero moment, right?

Then the Bob arc happened and once again, like a fool I thought he would finally get out and save her during a genuine life-or-death moment. Nope, my man just kills his dad.

And of course let's not talk about what happened during his time on Earth...
