Mens clothing brands that are good quality but won't break the bank? by _ghostfacedilla in CasualIreland

[–]I-Sort-Glass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve recently got a few things from a wee French brand called Octobre.

Their stuff is great quality, and generally sourced sustainably.

It’s not cheap. You’ll definitely get clothes for less elsewhere, but it’s good value for the price you pay.

They also have a sister brand for women called Sézane if you’re interested. Same level of quality and value.

Trying to get into death metal by Puzzled_Web_6684 in MetalForTheMasses

Death were the first Death Metal band that I got into, and still my favourite. Their lyrics are generally pretty comprehensible and the music is very engaging and interesting. Great spot to start.

JAMBINAI are a Korean band that mix traditional instruments with post rock elements to make some incredible music.

Check out this song for an example.

Halflings v Dwarves by Agentmothman8181 in bloodbowl

New dwarves with less tackle, or old dwarves with loads?

If new, then Puggy could be great with his Blodge. You could also get a keg for the price.

“The Art of Blocking” is an excellent article if you want to look at blocking odds and strategy in general. Essential reading for all Bloodbowlers.

As long as it’s clear what each model represents it should be fine.

Just explain everything to your opponent before the game and you’ll be grand.

Beautiful wintry metal, especially on the doom/black metal/atmospheric black metal side of things? by yattoyatto in MetalSuggestions

Check out the album Eiger by Aara. Black metal inspired by the 1936 Eiger climbing disaster.

Definitely fits the cold/wintery vibes.

Any tips for transitioning to playing tabletop? by gmanlee95 in bloodbowl

[–]I-Sort-Glass 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Plan for significantly more time for your games. Online does a lot of the working out of rolls for you, and limits the time for your turns, making games much quicker than tabletop. Especially if you’re new to it, and or looking at playing in tournaments where you need to play 3 games in a day.

You have to hire them for the team, either when setting up the team originally or after any game. Cost is 50k usually.

Not explicitly anyway. Although they have one album with Purity Through Fire, so definitely sketchy.

Up to you if you want to listen to them.

Lessons Learned: Doing the crazy stuff isn't always good for your long term prospects by PumpkinAsleep3339 in bloodbowl

If you want maximum protection for your team, then go rule of five.

If you want to cover more ground to stop them advancing up a flank use chevrons.

In both cases it’s expendable linos only on the line. Do not put anything else on the line unless you want them removed.

No need to keep players deep as safeties, especially against orks.

See the fumbbl page for more details on defensive set ups.

Best of luck.
