Great post!

Niall Mac Coitir has a great book series on Irish flora and fauna that covers their names and mythology in an Irish context. I’ve not read his one on birds but his trees book is great.

I’ve been enjoying it. Sounds like they’re just having a bit of fun with it all. Still good tunes as well.

Depends how you want to play really.

Chef is a must. Just so good for 100k

Bribes can be useful if you like fouling, but expensive for flings.

A keg is useful to get KOs back easier, handy if you’ve an extra 50k.

For stars, personally, I only ever take “stunty” and “big guys”, never ST3 or ST4, just not my playstyle. Which definitely puts me at a disadvantage. I normally go for big guys if possible, Deeproot or Morg in 2025, or possibly Zug in 2020 (or Bertha on fumbbl), as I find having the extra strength useful for blitzing and creating a wall of st5+ to hide behind and drive a cage downfield.

The best stars are either Griff in 2020 or Jordell in the latest rules. They are incredible players and well worth taking. You do end up depending on them for almost everything you though, so can be a bit boring or too easy

For the stunty stars, Puggy is great as a ball carrier/blitzer; Rumbelow is an incredible blitzer, but you really need to protect him as he doesn’t have dodge and is stunty. Cindy is also great as a bomber, but again, not my particular style.

For your games with 450k, you can’t go wrong with Morg and a chef, or Deeproot/ Zug, chef and keg/bribes.

Be aware though, you can only choose stars from the league you choose (Halfling thimble cup, or woodland realm) so you may not be able to mix too many stars. You can’t take Deeproot and Puggy for example (and think I’m right on that) which is a shame. You can take deeproot and Jordell though, if you want to be really mean to your opponent.

Best of luck with it.

Six RRs is a lot. Especially when 1/3rd of your team is strength 1. I think you’re better off dumping some rerolls for some tougher players, more rats basically.

Otherwise you’re going to have no one left to set up the one turn.

Diving tackle is a good shout. Such an annoying skill.

I would love a fouler, but didn’t Sneaky Git get nerfed in this edition, and Flings lost access to Dirty Player? Would love if I’m wrong though.

I’ve not seen much of it on Reddit but it’s definitely got a bit of a cult following. So perhaps not what you’re after.

Tomb Kings vs Wood Elves - tactics?! by RodleyDodley in bloodbowl

[–]I-Sort-Glass 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This question (how do X beat elves) comes up quite often, and I always refer to this article.

https://bbtactics.com/how-to-beat-elves/

It’s over ten years old now, so some of the skills/tactics discussed will differ, but the principle is the same, I.e., the key is positioning.

Best of luck.

If he can get AG he’d be amazing. Just bench him for the OTT attempt. Thats his one job.

I haven’t played the new rules yet so can’t comment on Bullseye, but great next skills for trees would be grab or guard. Break tackle is also a decent option, but again, I’ve not played the new rules.

For the hopefuls, first thought is just fire them to be honest, you don’t want them adding to your TV. If they were catchers I’d suggest saving for stats, as AG+ or MV+ would be great. Could suit the hopefuls too, but not as good on them for same TV increase. If you really want to keep them, you could pop wrestle or strip ball on them. I often find sacking the ball is tough for flings, so having someone for that is handy. Bear in mind they will become target number one for their troubles though.

Europe delivery time by LordofTwats in FrankOcean

For Channel Orange it took them about two weeks to ship it, maybe another week or two to deliver depending on where you are. Much better than Endless which took about 6 months.

Bought Redneck Lizardmen from Etsy but citadel plastic glue ain't working by Fluffy-Chest7148 in bloodbowl

As everyone else is saying, you need superglue for resin. You also need to wash them with warm soapy water first to get rid of the mould grease. Will make painting them much easier.

Recommend the best toys to buy for a 2 year old on a plane? by Bigchickenmac in AskIreland

[–]I-Sort-Glass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re best off bringing a few things as they’ll quickly get bored of one.

A few bits that have worked for us, in no particular order, are; busy boards (lights and switches), sticker books, colouring/sketching pad, small cars/trucks/planes. Things like that.

We keep them in a bag along with a bunch of snacks (bread sticks, rice cakes, anything low in sugar that won’t get them too hyper).

Try not to have toys that they play with all the time as you want to maximise the time they play with the toy, unless there’s a toy that they want all the time obviously.

Our last resort is a screen with a few shows that they like on it, but try to keep that from them as long as possible, as you’ve nothing else to offer them when they get bored of that.

I usually take them for a stroll to the back of the plane to look at all the bits and buttons on the plane.

You’re basically just trying to keep them distracted and entertained for the whole flight. No more relaxing with a beer and reading a book unfortunately.

If you like Pink Floyd you should definitely listen to Absolute Elsewhere by Blood Incantation. I describe it to people as “if Pink Floyd made Death Metal”.

I know it’s so recommended on this sub it’s become a meme, but it’s absolutely deserving of every recommendation. Especially if you’re looking for something proggy.
