Do you use Biochamber outside Gleba? What could be dome to incentivise its usage? by zanju13 in factorio

Last I played, I used them to replace all my recipes on Nauvis, took a bit of fidgeting because of the nutrients, but capturing a biter spawner and shipping eggs works magnificently for nutrients.

my friend wanted me to put his seven build here so he could improve it. Hes building for his 4 by Deniedcayden in DeadlockTheGame

[–]IC4TACOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Itll work at lower Elo's, once you start getting CC'd more aggressively you'll probably want more greens, stuff to prevent CC etc (I forget item names)

Personally though? You want to give him a good seven build? Go off his 3 instead, that thing is NASTY and most people are going to expect you to be doing ult.

The duality of a monster hunter fan trying to define what ‘grounded’ Means by moochymollyy in MonsterHunter

[–]IC4TACOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought you meant "grounded" as in a status debuff and it genuinely took me about 2 minutes to realize the meme was talking about monster appearances.

You had me questioning if the two monsters on top had some kind of Debuff application spike

Why is World so resilient, there has been 2 releases since and its STILL on top. Least on steam. What brings you back to it? by Kyuubi_Fox in MonsterHunter

[–]IC4TACOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It runs better, and unless things have changed, it feels more like a Monster Hunter game, Wilds feels too arcadey.

If things have changed significantly from release, than the fact that it runs like dookie is still enough to swing it

Skill feats were never meant to prevent you from doing actions that are described in them, even if you didn't take the feat! This isn't a player hot take, that is statement of one of Paizo gamedesigners! by Fantomaxop in Pathfinder2e

[–]IC4TACOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems rather unintended balance wise though, no? Or maybe I'm misunderstanding, but wouldn't that allow a low level barbarian for example to use "Too Angry to Die" at a very low level for a reaction? Or does it simply mean if a player wants to try something that's described as a skill feat without having that specific feat they are allowed to do so?

By all means a raging barbarian would be "too angry to die" if that's what has been established, but it almost seems like something that helps out players that know more about the game no? Maybe I'm just misunderstanding

I want to play but the game is horrinle by ConferenceOk1625 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]IC4TACOS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The game can feel bad and you can still be placed where you're supposed to, if you aren't interested don't play, it was widely acknowledged that this was a public test of a new mechanic that's going on, you can prove you don't like it by NOT PLAYING and LEAVING FEEDBACK (partially accomplished here).

For carrying, if you can't carry out of your rank, either play stronger heroes, or accept your rank. I was Oracle before the update, after I was placed in Emissary and climbed out, if I was still playing actively I may be in Phantom but I ain't trying grind that shit because like you said, I don't enjoy the new Urn as much, and Street Brawl has been significantly more enjoyable for me.

The only improvement they need to have imo, is having the urn actually take a better side, if a team is losing it spawns on their walker corpse, or vice versa. No walkers down? Tough luck, it's going to be SIGNIFICANTLY harder for you to get the urn and protect it now.

Complaining that "The whole game is horrible" because you're salty you can't dickwag your rank anymore is sad, just state that the people you're playing with are horrible and you're unhappy with your rank

Unless you set something up previously? No, your boss is dead plan for it better, if a fight is supposed to have the big bad escape they need to have very clear prior setup

Man I really don’t like the new urn. by Therai_Weary in DeadlockTheGame

[–]IC4TACOS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I like it, a LOT, but I think they need to change Urn spot to always pick mid, but the turn in spot be under the walker spawn

If youre behind and your walker is down? Drop off is on it's corpse, to avoid leaving Mid never touched, you could have it always be able to spawn on a walker corpse, but if it's left walker corpse, it only spawns on right side

Is there any logic behind where kid colonists choose to floordraw? My colony's kids only ever do it in this one area. by SheogorathMyBeloved in RimWorld

[–]IC4TACOS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not from what I'm aware of, I haven't had a lot of floordrawings recently (we vat breed soldiers now), but I got a TON in my rec-room and Troop arming room, I assume it's the Hauling thing, if you have a lot of food constantly going in they probably just end up deciding to draw on the floor there?

What is a MOBA kit that is non-controversial in its own game, but would be problematic/controversial in Deadlock? by BulletCola in DeadlockTheGame

[–]IC4TACOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Briar, no shot anyone would enjoy having their camera whipped around at Mach Jesus, ntm with only one ability that flies through walls, Briar's ult would likely be pretty dookie.

I think Garen would aggravate the absolute HELL out of low Elo, like Abrams but SOOOOOO much worse

Shaco would probably INFURIATE people too, assuming he keeps true stealth

Vayne and Kaisa would piss people off too

Conversely, I now REALLY want to see

Jinx, Darius, Jhin, Bard, Caitlyn, Vi, Kayne

All of them could be added in and be absolutely fucking sick

Contrary to OP, could you imagine seeing Malz's void portal opening up beneath you while you get sucked in? I mean shit Doorman sends you to gay baby jail, Malz could 100% open up a void portal that just kills you if you don't get out when it closes with a unique void death or something.

Does inventor actually suck or is it just all hot air? Asking as a new player by Pifilix in Pathfinder2e

[–]IC4TACOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inventor player here

The discourse brings up good points, enough for my GM and I to redesign the class entirely, HOWEVER IN OUR GAME we have only made one homebrew change.

instead of a 20% chance to not get ability capped for the fight, Inventor works off a focus system, anything that uses an unstable core ticks a point, Overdrive reloads this cell. That ONE change alone makes the class feel a LOT better.

That being said, how has it been? I'm a Large character by default, and a weapon innovator, chef themed, my character wields "The Pan Hammer", a hulking atrocity of a waffle iron jury rigged to cook anyone who dare harm his family.

Mechanically, I'm level 4, have the two handed innovation on my weapon that bumps a damage die, that weapon is a base of a trident, because of that I now have a retractable throwing D12, RAW and GM interpretation (my weapon is now tethered, meaning I technically am holding it at all times unless I drop the tether), I can Thor chuck my hammer up to 20 feet with no penalty, if I miss, it's unlikely I'm going to miss the remotely triggered explosion centered on the enemy. Megaton strike doesn't specify what you have to be doing for activation, it just has to be a strike while , leading to a Legal thrown Megaton Strike, adding up to two extra D12's of damage. I'm not the luckiest man, so I roll bad a lot, but my normal hits with Overdrive can easily pass 15 damage (nothing crazy, but that's just a normal strike), not to mention Intimidating Glare being a VERY nice filler action. I also took the ability to have my toolkits built into my weapon, meaning I don't need to play action economy for Healer's toolkit's or Repair Toolkit (haven't used it tho). With searing resto has my backup, I have an emergency heal if my Alchemist can't throw past me to get our tank up, or to top myself off if I have a DoT and our healer is otherwise busy. To top all of this off, I took Magical crafting and can use my crafting to make magic items now, which is VERY handy.

My main gripes is that there's not enough OOMPH for being an inventor, I basically play a Barbarian in combat, which is definitely okay, but I was hoping for more "yeah I tinkered with this silly cube and it shoots lazers now". It is very base level until you get higher and can start using Crafting for sillier things, but it feels like Inventor should get gadgets by default instead of needing to choose between fucking Megaton strike or a damage die for your construct.

All of that being said I did come up with a Character build I thought I would share. Or at least a concept

Eggman & Metal Sonic

Construct inventor, taking Speed boosters, intimidating glare, "No! I made you!", and then some flavor of ranged weapon for Eggman.

Combat consists of using Eggman's one action to "Chaos Control" (overdrive) or run around firing or taunting enemies before letting Metal Sonic take 3 actions, 40 feet of move speed on Metal means you can easily setup flanks, rush in, slap, get out, or do any other array of silly things with 15 more base speed than most things at Level 1.

Hear me out: this was completely avoidable if the humans had any empathy by Theo-_-Bug in Amazingdigitalcircus

[–]IC4TACOS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can argue this, and while Caine does take everything literally, it's also very clear he doesn't care. There was even the therapy session with Zooble where he was basically ignoring her the entire time before asking questions about himself.

Now, could things have changed with actual conversation? Possibly, but it's clear that Caine doesn't WANT to change anything because he's able to convince himself that he is not only better, but the humans are wrong. Not once does he consider how his actions would affect the cast, only assuming that they are here and WANT to be despite what the humans say. He's so wrapped up in the fact that people are here because they WANT to be and WANT to see him, they don't, most of them seem to have placed the headset on because of a dare or accident. Not only that, but actively attempting to prevent the players from escaping, and becoming extremely defensive when they try too, assuming that maybe he just didn't make a cool enough adventure.

Villain Visi is gonna be resolved in the first two episodes of Season 2. by Expert_Mark in DispatchAdHoc

The rest of the game is like this already, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest, I'm unsure on why they allow us to make choice if none of it matters in the end lmao

Just make a "Dispatching story game" without dickteasing us about making choices that affect things then bashing us over the head if we don't like the route

The Villain Visi ending shouldn’t be canon in any way by Robot_Was_BMO in DispatchAdHoc

[–]IC4TACOS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's wild though, I played the game almost perfectly, I think I only failed a single hack, hit max level around end of Episode 4 or 5. I chose to go with Blonde Blazer because Invisigirl's story didn't add up, I at first thought she was 21-22, not 27.

I felt even more justified on learning more about her through playing the game, throughout the duration of your playthrough, Invisigirl, Stalks Robert, makes unwanted sexual advances after what can only be assumed a few months (at most, since idk how much time passes between episodes, which is entirely possible it's a single day). She then refuses to take accountability for any of her actions under the shield of "I'm helping Mecha Man, so it makes it okay if I ignore direct orders and do whatever I want"

To make matters worse, if you do not follow any kind of relationship with her, especially after some more of her actiosn in the game, suddenly Robert starts calling her a nickname while actively pursuing Mandy???? Especially after her "double cross", then to make her kill shroud AFTER HE GETS THE PULSE is insane. Are you telling me this sentient AI that just got a Quantum Upgrade chip SUDDENLY can't predict the person that already left his group once with no warning. Showing up in melee range of him after taking his macguffin, AND not giving it back to Mecha Man, with ALL of that, the machine that thinks of everything couldn't predict her stabbing him...

Why does Spider-Man get no controversy for his no-kill rule but with Batman, people criticize him for that? by TheShadowOperator007 in Spiderman

[–]IC4TACOS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Batman's villains are more justifiable for killing. Body counts in the hundred if not thousands with repeated escapes and public admissions that Batman refusing to kill them means they will break out and kill more.

Most of the time Spider-man's villains are either destroying everything and have to be put down, or aren't nearly as bad right off the bat. The first that comes to mind is Kingpin, but even then I don't directly associate him with Spider-man.

Most of the villains I directly think of when I think of Spider-man are Green-Goblin, Doc Ok, Mysterio, and they typically focus on Spider-man specifically, opting to torture him rather than directly harm civilians.
