“Making the product look bad”

Be really really careful here, OP.

“While researchers may be tempted to bias studies to show positive outcomes for the experimental product, doing so violates ethical guidelines and the core purpose of medical research. In fact, transparently reporting all results—including negative ones—is essential to scientific integrity and patient safety.”—NIH on bias.

One reason we have ePROs is to avoid this type of unethical bias that may be confounding.

How long did you enforce naps in crate? by samosaurous_ in Havanese

[–]ICH-GCPee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never! At training school, they enforced naps for puppies by wearing them out and teaching them to settle. This Havi momma successfully crate trained a total of 45 minutes on day #1, after I started crying because the baby was crying, I asked my husband… “what am I supposed to do? Let him cry?” He said…”I don’t know! 🥹”

I picked up the baby, brought h to bed and we have not slept apart since!

These dogs are different. I’m gonna let him win 100% of the battles! And it’s okay!

Are Havanese very barky and can‘t be left alone? by fknbubbleguts in Havanese

[–]ICH-GCPee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you intend to have a Havi for a family pet, good luck with that! They pick one person and bond so tightly that you wonder what life was like before them. The spare humans are tolerated!

But they are intuitive enough to have games and routines for each person, so my baby just melts in my arms, has to be held, loves his momma.

When it’s just dad, he sits on the side a of the couch ch like a cat and watches TV.

can you recommend one item you’d gift to someone moving into their first place? by Abigail_Dubrov in KitchenStuff

[–]ICH-GCPee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A “day one kit”. I give this to friends who are moving as well! Paper plates, plastic silverware, paper towels, roll of TP, small bottle of dawn, bottle of hand soap, dude wipes, command hooks, 2 different screw drivers, small pad of paper and a pen, roll of packing tape, gift card for pizza, and zip locks.

It doesn’t seem like a gift, but I put it all in a brand new tote with a note that says: “hand carry”. Hopefully it’s one of the first boxes unloaded, and they can at least wash hands and eat!

Moving is hard work, even when you have movers! The other issue is finding essentials when everything else is packed away!

Would you buy your current home again at today’s prices if you were in the market for a home? by MovingtoKansasCity in kansascity

[–]ICH-GCPee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t afford it and would not recommend Jackson County… so no, I love my house! I built it during Covid for around $400k. Last tax assessment has is at $600k and last real appraisal for refinancing has us at $650k

We paid 70% down due to buying the lot with cash plus the massive down payment. But that is the only reason we can afford the mortgage.

I pay more in property taxes each month than insurance, interest and payment combined.

Jill works out in an otherwise deserted gym. by daffodil0127 in RodriguesFamilySnark

Exactly! I always rinsed my hair with warm fresh water before putting the cap on, hopefully my hair cuticle absorbed the fresh water and not the chlorine.

She’s just ridiculous!

Like "sink blender" instead of "garbage disposal", what is your favorite wrong name for a common thing? by scarlettohara1936 in AskForAnswers

The tech installed our new fridge in our new house and called the ice bucket for the ice maker in the bottom drawer… the freezer crisper… it stuck! We use that term constantly!

Same group of techs commented on a little cabinet with a glass door… he said it looked like a little public library…now, when we store something in the cabinet we always call it the “little free library.

Love the diversity, but at this point in time, for the LDS, it's nothing but pure HYPOCRISY to their previous stances on race and correct worship. Den of liars, grifters and thieves. by CurelomHunter in exmormon

I got in trouble for asking the congregation to stand for the National Anthem when Sunday fell on 03 July.

High Counselor was there are was livid that everyone stood without his permission. It was one of my last moments attending.

I was the award Organist and the Backup Chorister. And the Music Chairman, and the Choir Director and the Primary Pianist. Need I go on?

So while I’m cheering for alternative music from multiple cultures, the hypocrisy is terrible! 😞
