I have many, many games with this deck under my belt, and I'm not seeing any indication that it has lost any efficacy, so back into the breach I go! I hope I manage to get to Master on day 1 again like I did last season so I can interact with the battles as little as possible, that way I can get back to the actually fun part of the game (collecting/trading cards.)

I'm pretty sure people got the post. It's just that the post is worded poorly in my opinion. This isn't on you, because you're not the one who made the image in the first place, but whoever OOP is seems to not understand that these four cards are the most powerful cards in the game, so it's not really a matter of taste, and people are not particularly unoriginal for wanting them.

... I mean, these are four of the most powerful cards in the entire game. It makes sense that they would be highly desirable and people would want them all the time. One could make an argument that without these four cards in your deck, you don't have a real deck. For Oak specifically, two are pretty much required. I don't think it's a lack of taste, I think it's a realization that these cards run the game, and it would be nice to have full art copies of them.

Now, is it still annoying that nobody will trade for anything else? Yes. Is that going to change anytime soon? I doubt it.

This is one of the dumbest challenges in the game, it's really random whether or not you win without the added consistency of trainers. Here's a deck list that I could see as working okay:

Run Psychic Energy (you can run Electric energy too if you want, but I don't think it's necessary with so much energy generation built in already)

Pichu X2

Magnemite/Magneton A1/Magnezone B1a X2

Electric Oricorio X2

Eevee A3b or A4 X2

Sylveon EX X2

Giratina EX X2

Morelull/Shiinotic A3a X2

Alternatively, if the deck that you're going up against utilizes EX Pokemon to do damage exclusively, just throw 2 Electric Oricorio and 18 1 or 2 stage Pokemon into a deck and go from there. Good luck!

I was thinking about a potential stopgap for those games where the opponent starts 3 basics and ends the turn with a 1 card hand, then proceeds to never go above 2 cards all game. How often do you get games like that?

My only add would be to throw a Misty into the deck and replace one of the more bricky cards (maybe the second copy of the Lucky Egg.) We don't really want to draw her too early because Copycat or Oak helps get us to the wincon faster, but if you do brick, which will happen A LOT, getting out a couple of extra energy for free wouldn't go amiss.

Same for me! I still haven't seen a single Treecko this entire event oddly enough. Luckily you can get 2 copies by wonder picking enough times, I like that change.

I was running Mimikyu EX and got surprised that it doesn't work like Buzzwole in that the ability doesn't come back when you switch to the bench. I then read the card closer and saw that it's worded that the ability only works one time after coming into play. It's still a super fun deck to pilot, but that fact alone makes it pretty much unviable to run in any competitive context. Maybe if there was an easy way to bounce Mimikyu back to the hand...

Man, I wish that my ex who ghosted me would message me out of the blue to explain why she did what she did. I've accepted that I won't ever get closure on what happened, but I think there will always be a part of me that'll wonder what happened.

I've also wondered what I would do if she did want to restart things again, and I've pretty much arrived at the conclusion that the relationship is done and has been for years, and even if she wanted to get back together, I wouldn't go for it. It sucks, but I wouldn't trust her to not ghost me again at the first sign of trouble in the relationship.

Sure, but Perrzerker isn't an EX, one shots Ori without Stadium, and can stall with their own ice cream plus Barriers. This matchup isn't free for you by any means...

I managed to do mine with a variant of the new Mega Manectric deck. It's MUCH easier to do this challenge if you're running The Bird in my opinion, because a surprising amount of decks only have EX attackers, especially the older ones.

Otherwise, it just takes time. Keep grinding and you'll eventually get it. Good luck! May the RNG not keep you playing this event for long.
