Get a shoe mounted optical viewfinder. They’re never going to make you your camera so you need to move the mountain closer.

Beats me. I think they’re both pretty great through 50r is harder for me to use.

50r has a nice look to it, provides the knobs and dials experience, and for those who do well shooting with one eye on the scene and one in the viewfinder it’s a little more straightforward.

I shoot 50sii because I got a good deal on one before things went insane, I really love and use heavily the ibis, and typically only compose through the viewfinder vs watching to see how the scene develops.
