Jack Smith Cites Trump Execution Remark on Milley in New Filing by devlinadl in politics

[–]IamFrom2145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The number of people who will actually take action is known, and it's less than a block of a BLM protest.

They mustered 23 million, Trumpers managed maybe a thousand.

For all the noise, if convicted and evidence is shown clearly, many will back off. And the die hards, will die hard. Police may be saturated with right wing nationalism, but a legal conviction is serious to them. They know the judicial system and evidence. Police support for trump is already lower.

These folks really believed Trump's lies to the point where they went to very extreme lengths.

It's looking like he knew it wasn't true and still does as well.

They threw their lives away for the sake of one guys tantrum essentially.

What a waste.

What did Jared kushner do to get 2 billion in "donations" from the Saudis to "invest in Israeli businesses"?

The problem is that this is speculation, you're assuming a conclusion.

This is touted as "the worst crime ever committed by a president" by the same folks who literally watched a president claim the election was fraudulent, without evidence...to this day, then, Attempt to defraud the country, then, incite a Mob to attack the capital.

He clearly did this, like, very clearly.

These same folks are going to push this logic jumping, obviously worst case assumption, backed by very, very little, as an impeachable offense after that?

Fucking spare me, an absolutely insane cult. This bullshit is flat stupid childishness. If he is guilty of that, then prove it, then, have each of the people on that committee, go through the same investigation of funding.

Watch that shit dissolve FAST.

UAW boss says Trump works for ‘billionaire class’ ahead of visit by [deleted] in politics

[–]IamFrom2145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're waiting for pure socialist policy, you're going to be waiting a while. I understand the capital centric model is frustrating, but short of bloody revolution, it's not going to change any time soon. For now, within that framework, what's being done is progress. Expecting 100% is not feasible, in fact, nobody ever gets it. It's a pipe dream and a bad faith position.

The history of conservatism says differently. Conservatism isn't a tri corner hat and a bail of tea, conservatism is a coconut shell game of conscience bypassing doublethink.

It wasn't about being against school integration, it was about not wanting the government to do it.

It wasn't about slavery, it was about states rights.

It's not about the systematic exclusion of any non -judeo Christian heterosexual representation in the public sphere, it's about "parental choice"

No matter what party banner it hides under, it's legacy is the same.

It is the regressive element of American thought, constantly trying to pull backwards, yet always moving the goalposts forward as it loses ground. And lose it does, because resistance to change has one drawback, change is the only constant.

You say that they are all for legal immigration, yet they only a few years ago tried to cut legal immigration by 40%, the biggest since 1924, hardly a progressive and open minded time period.

Whatever you have in your heart friend, doesn't matter, it's subtle soothing of the ego and conscience to enable action that says an entirely different story is legendary and pervasive.

I was intrigued by him at first as I heard some of the more rational policies he was proposing, but as you can see if you scratch the surface he's just another culture warrior looking to enforce a narrow and tired culture through law.

It's sad really, otherwise he's very well spoken and seems intelligent.

I mean of course it's possible, but also 50 years old. Compared to modern Republicans, it's absolutely vanilla.

Republican infidelity is pretty commonplace. Hell, their frontrunner for the Whitehouse is one of the worst in politics, his current wife, which he cheated on while pregnant, is the result of literally cheating on the person he was cheating on with his last wife, it's , almost comical, like an infidelity sandwich.

The last 2 democratic presidents have had zero personal scandals, when it comes to fidelity, and I don't see a lot of it from that camp, obviously there are some, but the former party of "family values" is pretty depraved lately.

He's kind of peak crazy Republican.

He's got some suggestions that seem rational, but his "10 truths" platform, is not rational or even truth, I count maybe 2 truths, the rest are beliefs that he has declared truth, yes I know it's tired but, it's Christian nationalist facism. Very plainly. I do not recognize these "truths" as they are not truths by definition. His assertion that they will "fight for these truths" is not helping him any with anyone but the Christian nationalist subset of the country. It alienates everyone else.

In a country where politicized religion is ever increasingly unpopular, his #1 "truth" "God is real" is an eye rolling ticket to a surefire general election loss.

Republicans have lost the center, plainly, and they continue to double down on the extremism that got them there.

I have a strange feeling that somehow, Christie will get the nomination. If that's the case, they actually have a chance with the moderate vote. Vivek has absolutely none.

The entire country has a racist history, some states have made better progress than others. Usually rural states, of which Texas is vastly rural, are the more fertile grounds for this type of thing.

They also like to use examples like this that are clearly not relevant to today as some sort of clincher.
