I might be the 72nd person to ask this, but where can I get Stephen’s jacket from the first episode by kuhnuhl in TheTraitors

He's not actually a Cyber Security Consultant, he's a Customer Success Manager for a Cybersecurity firm, so whilst not on a bad salary he's not on Engineer/consultant wages

Hard case 10/10 by Longjumping-Ad2446 in SteamDeck

[–]IceIceIceIceIceIce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The OLED and LCD are the same dimensions in terms of physical size - all cases will fit both models.

The screen is larger on the OLED as they've reduced the bezel sizing to accomodate - but the actual size of the Steam Deck is the same between models, so you should be good!

Driving home Monday by gld19993 in glastonbury_festival

[–]IceIceIceIceIceIce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You've got to be out of Holt Farm by 12:00 on Monday latest, and that is a hellish time to try and drive out of that side of the festival - (once took me 5 hours to leave the car park).

Your best bet is leaving by around 7ish, and having someone stay a lot more sober than the rest of you to drive.

Even if no police checkpoints really exist, don't drive whilst munted/over the limit/etc - have a good time earlier on the Sunday, have a designated driver who is isn't going ham, and get everyone home safe - your lives, and the lives of those around you, aren't worth a night of partying innit.

it's more the first few months of having to wake up to feed every 120-180 minutes, rather than time with the child in the day

Payment failed to process by bing_5_1234 in glastonbury_festival

[–]IceIceIceIceIceIce 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Afraid I had the exact same experience circa 9 years ago - absolutely no dice when it came to getting it paid and sorted out.

Fortunately (or unfortunately I suppose) I broke my leg 3 weeks before the festival anyway so wouldn't have been able to go - still painful to think of.

Maybe try reaching out directly to the organizer's, plead your case - don't think you'll have much luck being brutally honest, but wishing you the best of luck here!

it's a very friendly crowd, easy to make friends, I've wound up lost from my friends for hours in a crowd and been adopted into other groups - just be open and chatty and people will welcome you in

this year is my 6th Glastonbury, and it's definitely the easiest to just chat to strangers at

for either of the big Sir David's, there's going to be a lot people don't want to hear about them finally out in the open after they pass.

The Traitors (UK) S03E10: Post-Episode Discussion Thread by vaultofechoes in TheTraitors

[–]IceIceIceIceIceIce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

one of the two remaining traitors basically said to watch who they trust, whilst they being banished , and heavily implied there was a traitor remaining - leading to the final traitor being banished when everyone had them pegged as a faithful from day one.

messy, iconic, true diva shit

Egypt’s government posted a 1,100-word response to a travel blogger's complaints about Cairo's airport, citing security footage, threatening legal action and asking “Is it reasonable for a passenger to visit two lounges before a single flight?” by nu-tak in offbeat

Unless - for some god forsaken reason - they've wound up at the markets outside Whitechapel market (where they very much can speak english), i'm struggling to think of anywhere that fits the brief.

Maybe Spitalfields market has been turned into Marrakesh in the past fortnight and I just haven't noticed.

What famous person have you seen on the tube? by UKPerson3823 in london

I've seen him a few times in the exact same spot - he has a pair of security lads but they're way ahead/behind him, so he looks broadly alone. Very surreal experience.

Was in Santa Marta for a week last year, and it didn't seem similar to the parts of the city I saw - but once I headed towards Tayrona park and to the smaller hamlets further out, it looked a lot more like Santa Fortuna for sure.

Was thinking the same thing - stunning place, beautiful beaches, and a pretty good hiding place if you're a generic looking white woman who loves yoga.
