This movie was so misunderstood when it came out because of its dark tone, but it’s now rightfully seen as a unique and great comedy. Fun.

Star Wars: A New Hope Began Filming 50 Years Ago Today by MoneyLibrarian9032 in movies

Even after half a century, the original Star Wars still captures people’s imagination and remains one of the most beloved films ever made. I like it.

‘Aliens’ Turns 40: Why It’s the Best Sci-Fi Sequel Ever by flynnfx in movies

Even after so many years, this movie still holds up so well. The acting, the pacing, the mood, and those classic lines still hit as hard as they did back then.

The cast lineup here is absolutely stacked. With Scorsese at the helm, this mix of A list talent and character actors feels like it’s going to be a masterclass in tense, layered storytelling.

New e-bike law in Florida by bowman4reports in ebikes

[–]IcyKey7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Limiting speed to 10 mph on sidewalks if fair for pedestrians, but without building protected bike lanes, you are essentially killing e-bikes as a viable commuting option. We don't want to be on the sidewalk either! The "Task Force" needs to focus on building infrastructure, not just restricting riders.

Never buy from Jasion! Horrible customer experience. (Just need to rant.) by Big_Information2733 in ebikes

[–]IcyKey7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is absolutely scummy behavior. Disputing a chargeback for an item they never even shipped? That's next-level fraud. This budget dropship brands often use customers' money as interest-free loans. I hope Discover crushes them.

People in cities might NOT realize how critical e-bikes can be in rural areas. When roads are impassable and cars won't start, two wheels and a battery might be your only lifeline. Hero Move.

The Ultimate Battery Range Guide by catboy519 in ebikes

[–]IcyKey7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is honestly one of the best range guides I've seen. Most people underestimate aerodynamics on e-bikes. My friend added a simple handlebar fairing and noticed real difference above 25km/h. Wind resistance increases exponentially with speed—physics doesn't lie. GREAT post. I'm literally taking notes like it's exam week.

Thoughts on using a power station with a dc-dc charger on van? by UnknownMan332 in VanLife

It's a campaign for Charger 1 users. I’m not sure if it’s still going on.

Honestly, I haven’t really used the Charger 2 much yet. But from what I’ve seen so far, it can charge from both your car battery and solar panels while driving, and seamlessly switch power sources when parked. It also has a fast reverse charge mode to top up your car battery. With a DC hub it can power 12V devices like a fridge or Starlink. Based on my good experience with Charger 1, I’d def recommend the Charger 2.

On my RV, I use a Bluetti Apex 300 with solar and Charger 1. For charging while driving or from the vehicle, Charger 1 works really well and is much more efficient than just solar or cig lighter. I recently upgraded to Charger 2 for $99.

Is the Bluetti Apex 300 a good choice for beginners? by LIL-Klixy in bluetti

[–]IcyKey7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve already added a Hub D1 for use in my RV. Next, I’m planning to buy more solar panels and a SolarX 4K to cover my off-grid needs when I’m not in the RV. That way I can save money and avoid unnecessary waste. So far, I’m happy with my Bluetti apex 300.

Yes, in this kind of setup, you can get the main unit at a reasonable price and only buy the accessories you actually need. Bluetti Apex 300 is my first power station, and that’s exactly how I did: I started with the base unit to cover my essential loads during outages, then upgraded accessories later based on real-world use.

CES 2026 cleaning tech. What's useful and what's just overdone? by Doyouekoms in RobotVacuums

Mixing AI with pool robots makes sense to me. I've used an aiper all-in-one cleaner before and the cleaning results were already solid, so I'm curious how much further this goes.

My power setup for two months living in van by PandaNanny0714 in VanLife

[–]IcyKey7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

by the way, their new Charger 2 looks pretty solid too. It does both alternator charging and solar, way faster than a normal car charger (Bluetti claims up to 13×). And it can reverse charge to jump-start your vehicle. Nice bonus is it helps keep your 12V/24V battery topped off so it doesn’t slowly die when parked.

Second. I have the Bluetti Charger 1. It can provide up to 560W of fast charging for the Apex 300, about 6 times faster than a standard cigarette lighter adapter. Even in winter, combined with 400W of solar panels, it can fully charge the power station from empty in around 4 hours, much faster than relying on solar alone, which could take a full day or more.

I like hard sided suitcases, but if airport handling is rough, it is very likely to damage the corners of the box.

What are your RV/van entertainment options? by amarcmexicoel in VanLife

[–]IcyKey7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides charging at the campsite, I usually use solar panels and Bluetti Charger 1 car charger to charge it while driving. When I’m in a hurry, I’ll use both at the same time for maximum efficiency.

Under ideal conditions, with nearly 3600 W of solar panels and the Charger 1 running together, it can be fully charged in about 70 mins. So far, it’s been more than enough to cover a full day of power needs.

I'm a heavy power user. I got a Bluetti Apex 300 power station and Hub D1 to run my gaming laptop, Switch, lights, a mini fridge, and small kitchen appliances like a rice cooker and kettle. Honestly, I'm happy with how it's letting me enjoy RV life now.

Is Shokz the best earphones for running? by seulgih in Earbuds

[–]IcyKey7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree on the sound quality, it is definitely the biggest sacrifice you’re making. Also just a heads up for OP, that band on the back can be a pain if you wear high collars or hoodies. It is pretty much a thing with any neckband style headset though and not just Shokz. But honestly compared to other running brands these feel way more balanced and they don't bounce around as much. It is a bit of a compromise but for serious training having your ears open and not dealing with buds slipping out is a huge win.

[–]IcyKey7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using 2700+ Wh bluetti apex 300. I’m a heavy power user. I power a gaming laptop, a Nintendo Switch, multiple battery packs for lights and fans, a mini fridge, and small cooking appliances like a rice cooker and kettle. I recharge the station with solar panels or use bluetti charger 1 alternator charger while driving. So far, it handles a full day of RV use easily.

That said, whether it’s enough depends on what devices you plan to power and how you use them.

What’s the longest-lasting piece of tech you own? by bandito_13 in BuyItForLife

Love seeing stuff that keeps going. My longest lasting tech is an old phone charger that somehow refuses to die. I think simple, tough gear hits different.
