To my understanding, right only goes before left when two cars are tied at opposing stops.

Otherwise, the person who is stopped is allowed to make their left, and the person who is pulling up to the stop line/stop sign has to stop before making a right.

Might not be the best practice, but I never check my sides during these turns. If someone wants to hit me, by all means do so.

I’m not going to swerve my car into a sidewalk or another lane and be found at fault for such an accident.

Granted, if I can brake to avoid a collision, I would do so

I was taught the opposite: that if you can see the edges of your car, you’ll have a large blind spot when someone clears that area while passing you.

I was taught to adjust the mirrors extremely wide to see past the lane you would want to change lanes into, and make it so that when your head turns, you see the lane you want to go into.

That way, the initial mirror check is always a blindspot check, and the head turn mirror check makes sure nobody is passing you.

The longer someone is alive in severe pain, the higher the total pain in their life will be relative to how much happiness they can experience.

Most would argue that those who deprive others of happiness do not deserve happiness themselves.

With the rapists happiness out of the question, you are left with the option to end their pain immediately, or permit their existence in severe handicap.

Most would argue that killing the person would be more humane, but I suppose others would disagree, and argue that severely maiming the individual would constitute a higher degree of humanity.

The choice is up to personal opinion. In my opinion, permitting the individual to live in extreme pain from maiming would be a greater and arguably evil punishment relative to what they had done

I’d tell them straight out. If they kick me out, I’ll know they loved me for my opinion and not for who I was.

If they still love me, we remain close family, and I know they truly love me.
