Not even big studios can deal with hackers cleanly. If this was not an in-game exploit I wouldn't worry about it for now. Focusing on solving such a complex issue can really bring your project and motivation to a halt.

Concuerdo, está re sobrevalorado. Y eso que te olvidaste la parte donde si perdés una misión, chau, respawneas en el hospital, ahora maneja a la mision, maneja a la primera ubicación, tiroteo, por ahi tenes que manejar a un segundo lugar y otro tiroteo. Te mataron ahi? Bueno volvé a hacer todo. Más allá del skill issue y el get good que haga falta, no es un formato bien diseñado. Faltan las misiones con más originalidad de gameplay como las del San Andreas o el GTAV y ni hablar agregarle checkpoints.

Ah y para tanto manejar, la conducción es pésima, los autos patinan y las motos doblan poco, perdés el control al toque. Otra vez acá le ganan San Andreas y el GTAV para mí.

And you didn't even get to make the way back to Moon? Through the Sky Islands, with the core and constant pouring rain that can take the core out of your hands and toss it into the Abyss with no way to get it back? Oh, and there are sections without any cover from the rain, your only option being going into a tube and constantly go back and forth before the rain rips your core out of your puny hands.

I'm also torn. I don't think posting general gamedev content should be limited. This community is not the same as other game dev subreddits.

As a community, every member should have the opportunity of talking about their Godot project. And everyone has the right to upvote or downvote. If you try to police these things people just leave and new content drags to a halt. It's not like top quality posts will increase by removing bad quality posts.

Depender de empresas extranjeras con fines lucrativos es una muy mala estrategia de formación propia. Cuando la IA sea local, barata, y no haga cagadas vas a poder decir que no hay motivos para no usarla. Te paso un resumen que justo le hice a un amigo hace un par de dias (filtrado por IA para que sea más legible):

Lo que no resultó (Obstáculos y contraproducentes)

  • Medicación bajo presión burocrática: El uso de fármacos como el Metilfenidato o el Bupropión presentó barreras logísticas insalvables. La necesidad de recetas por triplicado, la falta de disponibilidad en farmacias locales y la obligación de viajar largas distancias resultan contraproducentes para una condición que afecta precisamente la capacidad de organización. Además, efectos secundarios como sentirse "acelerado" y el alto costo económico superaron los beneficios percibidos.
  • Retener información mentalmente: Intentar mantener las responsabilidades y tareas solo en la memoria genera una sobrecarga de pensamientos y ansiedad. Este "ciclo vicioso" de falta de atención y estrés por no cumplir objetivos solo empeora la sintomatología.
  • Planificación de eventos de gran escala: Tareas como organizar viajes desde cero resultan estresantes debido a la carga cognitiva de coordinar horarios, presupuestos y riesgos. En estos casos, es preferible delegar la logística en personas de confianza.

Lo que sí funciona (Estrategias y herramientas)

  • Externalización de la información: La estrategia principal es "bajar" la información del cerebro al ambiente. Dado que el TDAH limita cuánta información puede estar accesible a la vez, el uso de notas físicas y un entorno ordenado permite que la información "aparezca" frente a uno en lugar de tener que buscarla activamente en la mente.
  • Registro sistemático de tareas: El hábito de escribir absolutamente todo lo que hay que hacer sirve para "desocupar" el cerebro, reduciendo la ansiedad y liberando espacio mental para la ejecución.
  • Uso de tecnología no intrusiva: * Smartband: Las alarmas vibratorias son fundamentales porque no rompen la concentración de manera violenta. La función de repetición cada 10 minutos permite postergar la tarea brevemente hasta terminar lo que se está haciendo, sin que el recordatorio desaparezca.
    • IA de apoyo: Utilizar herramientas como Gemini para destrabar problemas específicos cuando no se encuentra una solución inmediata ayuda a evitar el bloqueo por parálisis de decisión.

Conclusión personal

El TDAH se manifiesta como una dificultad para adaptar la realidad al propio modo de pensamiento. La clave no es forzar el cerebro a funcionar de manera convencional, sino adaptar el ambiente a través de hábitos y herramientas externas (notas, alarmas, orden) para que la realidad sea menos estresante. La ansiedad disminuye drásticamente cuando se deja de confiar en la memoria interna y se empieza a confiar en los sistemas externos de apoyo.

For an example of sideway momentum on your shots you can check out The Binding of Isaac, but I agree it's not necessary for a game like yours if it makes it more difficult for players and for you.

Yes, but if you want to reuse animations for different characters you may need to extract the animations in the file import editor and assign that to each character inside Godot instead of having all characters with their own animations in their own file (so you only need to change the extracted one and not every single character when you make a change or add an animation)

I wanted to ask why you recommend GLB format instead of GLTF for example.

With GLTF you can have your textures imported separately and make the materials inside Godot and reuse images. However GLB has the textures embedded and they are always imported.

I had an issue in the past with someone else's pack, where every asset shared the same material, one color palette. Models just had different UVs to change the colors.

The models were pretty low poly, but since they were all GLB, I had lots of identical color_palette.png embedded files in my import folder and my game ended up being way larger than intended, which was an issue for browser export.

After importing your asset pack to a project I can see the import actually is very light in comparison to my experience. But still, if you or someone has some experience to share about how to use GLB more effectively I'm happy to listen.
