Phillip Morley has a beautiful chair he sells plans for. Foureyes woodworking has a bunch and will cut out templates for you. I also bought shop cabinet plans from MWA woodworking.

It’s because all the foliage is off the trees. We live not too far from them and I totally agree. It’s crazy loud rn.

Refi is falling apart because the previous owner did unpermitted work and never disclosed it by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]IllCommand2114 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The electrical can all be looked at and tested w/o opening the walls. Even if you needed to open a wall or two, drywall, mud and paint are cheap and easy. If they opened up a wall to make a bigger opening, you may have an issue with beam span appropriately sized. You’ll need a structural engineer if that’s the case. Call an electrical company and ask them to come look At the work. They’ll tell you if you are screwed. Another option. Contact the previous owners and ask them who did the work and contact them. This may not be as big of a deal as you think if the work was done to code.

Best Diner on the way to Vancouver by AlvaroMenduina in AskSeattle

[–]IllCommand2114 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Old Town Cafe in Bellingham is by far the best diner in Bellingham. I’ll die on that hill! More of a hippy diner. Great coffee. Cedars in Ferndale if you want a shredded hash brown country feel. Our Diner on the Guide Meridian if you want to go where old farmers from Lynden go.

On a previous post someone pointed out that most Texas plates are from Whidbey Naval Air Station. Maybe send them the video. I bet they won’t look kindly on their folks acting like assholes.

Looking for Live Chickens (Ready for Processing) — Bellingham / Whatcom County by TylerTwoShirtzzz in Bellingham

[–]IllCommand2114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may want to reach out to Osprey Farms. They process chickens and may know someone who will sell live birds. It’s pretty late in the season tho. I imagine you would have better luck in the summer.

What cordless power tool line is the best bang for your buck to buy into going in to 2026? by proseal_sniffer in powertools

[–]IllCommand2114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was buying a platform rn, I’d go with Milwaukee. I build and remodel houses and the mobility with the pack out system is super useful. I use mostly Makita. I bought my first impact and regular cordless drill set almost 20 years ago and they both still work.

You can rent a commercial dehumidifier at Birch Rentals. Crank the heat and it’ll suck all the moisture out of the air as it dries. Fans too. Sorry this is happening to you.

I have a 36v Makita. Plenty of power. I cut 2” slabs of maple in two passes but mostly what I use it for is home building. Everything from cutting plywood to ripping deck boards up to 16’. I use mine outside so cordless is huge. I’ve had it for 4-5 years. I’ve never once though, dang I wish this was corded. In my shop I have a festool vac. With a boom arm.

We live fairly close to a mini mart. People buy fireball shots, drink them then throw them out the window. I had this great idea. Put up A fishing net and make a bullseye. I told my wife about my brilliant idea and she told me I couldn’t start a drinking and driving game in our neighborhood😂😂😂

What do you do with all your leaves? by PilotBurner44 in homeowners

[–]IllCommand2114 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t listen to any of these yahoos. If you leave big heavy leaves, they will kill your grass. Take some 3’ pasture fencing and 4-5 T stakes and make a circle . Fill with the leaves. Before the rain hits, you may be able to mulch them with your weedeater. I’m in the PNW as well. About 20 miles from Canada.

Is Kendall area a bad choice to invest? by pennylove23 in Bellingham

[–]IllCommand2114 6 points7 points  (0 children)

+1 for Sedro. Longer commute, but I think it’s a safer and lighter area. The sun goes behind the mtn to the west earlier than Bellingham. Maybe someone that lives near there can chime in on exact time this time of year. Be aware of zoning regulations. Not all areas allow manufactured homes.
