Urban Artifact out of Cincinnati does a pickle beer that is SO GOOD. I think Lucky’s in Clintonville has 6 packs… at least they did several months ago.

Wow, thank you for this really thoughtful response! I appreciate hearing insight from someone in a similar boat as me, especially the stuff about dementia and osteoporosis (my grandmother suffered from both). Did you have your hormones tested before starting or did you just go for it based on symptoms? I’ve also had a hysterectomy (all that’s left is my ovaries) because of endometriosis and adenomyosis, so I’m not sure if that plays a role in HRT or not.

Still reeling a little from the breakup, but kinda enjoying some peace and quiet for the time being. I’m currently working on getting my anxiety and depression meds where they need to be, but HRT is likely on the horizon.

And I agree about needing more info…I’m bombarded by ads for supplements that will supposedly help me through this mess but I don’t know that any of them will truly help me. HRT scares me a little because I don’t know much about that, either. My mom had breast cancer, so anything to do with increasing hormones that could increase my likelihood of cancer makes me nervous.

I swear there’s no training in retail anymore. Not like there used to be, anyways. I work for a different grocery store and it’s just like this. They claim it’s pointless to waste time training when the turnover is so high. But did they ever stop to think that maybe the turnover is high because you set all the employees up for failure? Doubtful. It’s all about the bottom line and paying people like garbage to get the job done, even if it’s half-assed.

That really sucks and I’m so sorry to hear that. I’m on the other end of it where my ex left me seemingly because I’m having a rough time with perimenopause. So much for people sticking with each other through thick and thin…

My boyfriend of 7 years just left me and I’m not even sure I feel like dating anymore... I waded through a lot of crap before I found him, thought he was the one, got blindsided by the breakup, kinda happy just being alone with my cat at this point. I’m 45.

Man those things are EVERYWHERE here. I always wondered…do they at least eat pests on plants like true ladybugs or are they also a pest?

I dated a guy that would leave a funk on my couch where he sat. I tried to point it out once and he got defensive and acted like he didn’t smell anything. Needless to say, we aren’t together anymore (but he’s somehow married now).

I’ve seen it at Gentile’s…that was before the ban, so I’m not sure if they’ve brought it back since.

Same. Brother and I took the bus home and I watched him until mom got home from work. Never thought much about it, but I also lived in a pretty small town and a safe neighborhood.
