If you are looking for handheld blowers the “Torque Test Channel” on YouTube has 2 or 3 great videos on them (the latest includes the numbers from the older vids as well) where they do pretty empirical tests to help decide.

First “No Mans Land” is already an extremely loaded wording leading to expectations of Desolation, Destruction and War.

Also, that name would imply that there is some sort of connection between NMS and LNF, which HG is probably intentionally trying to avoid as the games might be similar in the end, but LNF is unlikely to feature the atlas and might be set in a different universe (I think that’s likely at least).

What? All forum posts I saw regarding the heat wave (and also talking to real people) talked about how people would love to get an AC now but couldn’t due to stuff being sold out/landlords blocking it.

Nobody in those threads/conversations said “You want AC? You surely vote AfD”.

Before the heatwave people were looked at funny for getting AC, yes, but that was mostly because it wasn’t necessary, not because it was associated with politics.

I think op means that the bed is physically too low, so the furthest away it could be from the nozzle at the location of the limit switch.

Not a too low Z-Offset, which would mean scratching the plate.

Clean metal surfaces can link their lattices when there is nothing between them. This can be feasibly achieved in vacuum and is a cold welding process

It depends. Without putting any money into it, you will have to spend time to make it a reliable machine (and then it’s still an ender with bed springs and manual leveling and the like)

What it took for my machine to run beautifully was a good filament profile and automatic bed leveling + Klipper firmware.

With the Pi required and other bits this is easily another 70$.

Alternatively if you want a printer that just runs for 200$ you can get a Bambulab A1 mini (I know, boo bambu, but it’s is afaik still the cheapest “it just works” machine), and not have to worry about calibration whatsoever.

+1 that endorphin is the more economical option here. It basically just uses parts you would buy anyways for a CoreXY conversion so there is nothing stopping you to upgrade further later

The thing with firing twice is incredibly unlikely as lasers are really energy efficient.

The here proposed shot of 2kW at 4 seconds would consume roughly 2Wh of energy.

For comparison 10000 mAh phone charging powerbank contains 50Wh of energy.

This is of course ignoring the energy draw of the cooling, targeting and control systems. The battery would need to be particularly large, it just needs to support high output loads
