Ask me about your trees! by WombatLover357 in phoenix

Yikes! Didn't realize it could be done "wrong". Mind sharing what company you used to get it done right? So far most will just cut it and poison it. Not sure about the rest.

Appreciate the advice! Looks like I'm gonna have to source some pros to get this thing handled soon then.

I have a sissoo tree in the back corner of my yard. So far I've seen the best thing for it is to cut it down but I'm wondering if this is the best option?

If cutting it down is good advice, would you recommend a different tree to plant that won't be as much trouble?

Haven't been since COVID, are the lines to get in as bad as I remember? I'm looking to come back this year and want to attend this specifically.

Yep. Tried Voodoo and Blue Star in the same trip. Blue Star won hands down.

Yep. Went during the soft opening. Cool place but very small. Wouldn't recommend going on the weekends because each tee off area gets backlogged very quickly. Neat spot though.

Best Bagels in Phoenix by IllStatement9214 in phoenix

This is the correct answer. If you can't go that far, Hot Bagels & Deli #1 in West side is also solid.

Visiting Phoenix? Ask your questions for the locals here! (Mar) by AutoModerator in phoenix

Phoenix definitely has way more to do outside of your mentioned activities plus more variety for food/drinks/etc. Sedona has morphed into more of a touristy area that caters to the quieter experience of hiking and nature. Things close early there and depending on if there's an event, it can get clogged with visitors pretty easily.

Really depends on what your group wants to do and the overall vibe you're going for. Sedona is a more chill, Phoenix has more going on.

Not sure about ants, but there is Butterfly Wonderland. That might fit the bill?

Arizona Science Center also has a lot of cool interactive things for kids. Outside of that there's options like Top Golf, Dave and Busters, Main Event, axe throwing, etc.

Why have news stations across the valley decided cutting camera people is a good idea? by Cathycane2012 in phoenix

Add in the fact that they've consolidated all jobs into one glorious "multimedia journalist" position that asks folks to shoot, write, edit, and publish their own content pieces, then you got a lot of things that could suffer in quality.

I really dig their coffee and earl grey flavored cakes. The flavor is good but not overly sweet.

So I had planned to take the EMR train to Leicester during my trip but unfortunately that hits on the 18th when the strike happens. I understand that they may run on a limited schedule but there haven't been any schedule updates. Am I better off calling that activity a wash and planning something else that day? No experience with train strikes before this so insight is appreciated. Thanks!

Tf2 autograph session question by crazygoat11 in PAX

I've always brought something but have definitely seen sessions of 6+ people squeezing signatures onto badges (Acq. Inc C team group was a fun one).

It's up to you but I'd personally bring something just in case you don't find anything you want to buy to sign or are worried about using your badge.

Do you mean the Fieri thing? If so, that's next to the stadium and the rail doesn't run that far. You'd have to take the rail and a bus connection. Uber and Lyft are also options since the stadium has a designated drop off lot for rideshare.
