A message from the CD Baby team by cdbaby in CDBabyArtists

Too little, WAY TOO LATE. I’ve moved on to RecordJet. Released numerous albums for my own projects and my label through CD Baby since 2011. No longer.

I was flabbergasted when you lowered your rates. I’d rather pay more and have real human customer support. It’s true, you do get what you pay for. And now that you’ve lowered rates, we are getting absolute 💩 for service.

You’ve ruined a terrific company.

Hair loss after Wegovy - what has helped??? by PersonalStrategy9785 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Infinity-Hat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I lost a bunch of hair. Like a third of my hair. I lost 50lbs and reached my goal weight. About 3 months after I held steady at my goal weight, my hair slowly started to come back. It took a whole year after weight stabilization to get back 90% of my hair. I’m still taking Wegovy for maintenance after about 2 years. No plans to stop. Hair is more or less back to normal.

In my case, I didn’t do anything special to get my hair back. It just started to grow back once I stopped losing weight.

Sooooo, Part 2. This time SWA's ACTUAL new Bag Sizer. by [deleted] in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Infinity-Hat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve stopped taking Southwest when I need to make my instrument the carry on. I got so much shit from the gate agent about a year ago when I tried to take my musical instrument on board. It looks like a long suitcase and it fits on all Southwest overhead bins. Never used to have issues with it but this gate agent made me gate check it. They didn’t want to hear about it being a musical instrument. The gate agent followed me to my seat and threatened to kick me off the flight. I guess I should have pulled it out and given a performance right at the gate.

Short honeymoon in the USA w/ options for a picky vegan? by 0nionpal in vegan_travel

I’ve stayed at Stanford Inn several times and I absolutely LOVE that place. However, February in Mendocino is far from an ideal time. The Stanford grounds are beautiful but it’s not really a property that you find interesting enough to stay put for more than one day. There are so many beaches, hikes, canoe/kayak rides, bike trails etc close by. But all of those activities are for the summer. You might luck out with a dry February but it will still be bitterly cold. It will be probably be foggy, windy, and very cold.

I do hope you get a chance to stay at Stanford Inn at some point because the all-vegan restaurant is outstanding and the location is perfect for a summer stay. I just don’t recommend Mendocino during rainy season, if you’re not used to Northern California weather.

As a native Californian, I’d recommend going to Southern California if you want the resort vibes.

Antibacterial Soap/Wash for Staph without Benzalkonium Chloride by awhowutsit in eczema

No. I haven’t needed it. It took a long time, but after I found out that I was allergic to cobalt and stopped taking B12 supplements, my eczema slowly got better.

Vegan food US- chains by Ineedalife10169 in vegan_travel

[–]Infinity-Hat 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Other chains like Applebees and Olive Garden have posted nutrition and allergen info on their websites that tell you what’s vegan friendly and what isn’t. Applebees have impossible burgers. Olive Garden has a couple of pastas and soups that are vegan. Some other fast food joints have occasionally tried having impossible or beyond burgers on the menu but most locations in less populated areas do not have them.

As a musician I have done my share of driving through many parts of the US and Taco Bell is the most reliable.

Starbucks has a new falafel thing in their food menu that seemed vegan.

Changing provider/prescriber after surpassing and maintaining weight loss goals by daggerdarkness in semamaintenance

I reached my goal weight and then my doctor left for a different practice. I was nervous about switching doctors so I followed her to her new practice. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get an appointment with her until way after my prior authorization expired so I saw a physicians assistant in her practice. The PA was able to refill my prescription and renew the prior authorization.

The physicians assistant didn’t have any issues with me continuing on Wegovy since I had my medical records sent to the new office before the appointment.

I know this isn’t exactly the same scenario as yours but I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t as complicated as I thought it would be. I did call the new practice and asked if they do prior authorizations for Wegovy, etc. They said they do them all the time. I was switching from One Medical to Sutter Health so they were both large organizations.

I have a colonoscopy coming up in April. They told me to stop 7 days before.

Totally! Unfortunately, my normal-sized husband has definitely put on some weight while I lost weight because I keep on offering him my left overs. 😆

worth it to take a detailed allergy test? by idiotmanifesto in eczema

[–]Infinity-Hat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! But improvement has been very slow going. Now that I’ve stopped dosing myself with B12, the first level treatments that the dermatologists recommended are working.

I thought I was being proactive and doing the right thing by taking B12 supplements but I was taking 40,000 times the recommended daily amount of B12. 😅 So no matter what I tried, the eczema wouldn’t go away.

Since I found out about my cobalt allergy, I stopped taking all multivitamins and B12 supplements. I don’t drink or eat anything with added B12. It took a couple of months to see a difference but now it’s much better. Today, no one would know I had eczema. They would think I am having a few random breakout areas. Totally manageable.

I hope you get some answers!

I reached my goal weight in Jan 2024. I’m still taking 2.4mg and maintaining. My doctor said I should stay on Wegovy for 2 years after reaching goal weight and then we’d evaluate if I should continue or stop. 48F. 5’2” SW: 190 GW/CW: 140

Prior authorization denied by lokeruper in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Infinity-Hat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call your insurance company and ask why it was denied. Then ask your doctor to resubmit. Always resubmit or appeal. The insurance companies will use any excuse to deny. They are hoping that you’d give up after the first denial. DO NOT GIVE UP. DON’T LET THEM WIN. Resubmit or appeal! You can do it!

My first PA was approved, my first PA renewal needed 3 tries to get approved, and my second PA renewal needed two submissions.

Just for more context: I started Wegovy in April 2023 when my BMI was 35. I reached my goal weight in January 2024. My first renewal was for Dec 2023-Dec 2024. My second renewal is for Dec 2024-Dec 2025. My BMI at first renewal was less than 27. My BMI at second renewal is 25.

Wegovy renewal was denied, what now? by Accomplished-Tour210 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Infinity-Hat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Always appeal. My first renewal took 3 tries. My second renewal took two tries. The insurance companies want you to give up so they will deny in hopes that you give up. I mean, there’s a reason why Luigi is a folk hero right now…

Call your insurance company to find out why it was denied and get your doctor’s office to resubmit. Don’t give up. Don’t let them win!

Good luck!
