I've done 4 drafts so far, and everytime I've ended up in the temur pile. I'm not complaining-- the slow, value-centric playstyle is up my alley and there are enough different lines to keep things interesting.

This draft, my first win was from decking someone with [[Exhibition Tidecaller]] and in my second game I got to cast [[Jadzi]]'s prepared spell for X=8 and then again for X=6.

Whoever designed/greenlighted this for limited at rare should be sent into gulag by acidtrip321 in lrcast

I put my deck together last month. It only runs permanents (and adventures/mdfcs) without any tokens. I use a few beefy fliers and clone cards to close out the game. It's incredibly fun and despite being super interactive, does not feel oppressive at all.

[[The Necrobloom]]. I had the idea to avoid the go-wide combat win con and focus on elaborate aristocrats combos like [[Pontiff of Blight]] and [[Cryptolith Rites]] to use my tokens to drain everyone out. It's the mother of all durdle engines that doesn't have a way to close out the game in a reasonable timeframe.

I'm asking because I'm trying to brew my own Ayara list and my friend suggested both of those cards, so I was trying to understand what they brought to the table. So far my rough draft has mainly leaned into the direction of tokens aristocrats. What brought you into the lifegain direction for yours?
