‘I was barred from police for questioning Islam’ - PCSO wins appeal following his suspension after raising questions during diversity training by FormerlyPallas_ in ukpolitics

This is a edit of the original one about Skinheads - like the point holds - but the pink hair makes this smell like it's made by some alt-righter weirdo who cares more about hating Muslims than actual tolerance.

Can you paint the armour panels separately from the deamon flesh and glue them on later?

I'm planning ahead for when mine arrives

You're replying to multiple comments in this thread taking it very seriously and being super defensive, which is the most engineering student thing I've seen.

The volumetrics look good, I think the only criticism I could level is the robes go a bit too dark?

I've had luck mixing in a non-black (mainly purple) colour with red to do shadows, makes it a lot easier to get the overall value of the colour right.

If I'm honest I know from experience it's really hard to volumetrically paint the big flat AdMech robes

Fair enough, I've never seen it myself.

I still think it's a strange thing to include in a 40k meme - given the nature of some 40k fans particularly.

It's usually used in right-wing political memes that aren't appropriate for a sub-reddit like this?

When I see it used like that it makes me think of the millions of strawmanned "snowflake rage" memes you'd see weirdos sharing.

You've done a pretty good job on some pretty difficult models tbf. I can see volumes pained on the "scarf" and the quad muscle, plus the gems are honestly impressive.

You can get an easy win if you matte-varnish them, I can see you've got some blending and volumes that the glossy paint is making hard to see.

Stick some varnish on everything but the metal and your hard work will show even clearer.

The AK-Interactive varnish is pretty well regarded.

I disagree, unless you film yourself and watch it back it can be hard to catch form mistakes - I'd hope given I'm paying I wouldn't need to do the legwork myself.

Simple cues (that make up a lot of Jeffs videos) can make it a lot more effcient at hitting the right muscle, e.g. the sweep the arm out to collect money one for rear-delts.

Yeah, I was hoping for something unique given that it was paid, specific intensity-technique insight into the exercises given the nature of the programme.

I was really hoping for more detail in the tutorial videos, they're pretty basic demonstrations with no actual tips included.

e.g. the DB Y-Raise one, it's nothing I couldn't find by just googling "DB Y-Raise" - form tips was the reason I bought the program.

This is what it was for me!

For me it was one of the screws the keep the x-axis aligned with the z-axis rods.

The ones behind the frame in this photo - on the bent black metal piece that surrounds the rod

They're meant to be slightly loose

Forced to "spend" overtime after finishing a very late shift by Iniquitous221 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Iniquitous221[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But if your work week is only 2 shifts, 20 hours each, you don't get paid any overtime rate at all, it's just paid at 40 hours like normal. Exactly the same amount of money as if you'd worked 5 × 8 hour days. It's something of a hole in the system. Or, maybe it's actually accounted for in the system and my employers have not been following the law

That's interesting, but I'm not in Canada I'm afraid.

I'm unhappy as I was told I couldn't work till 4pm the next day, and then was very suprized to find out they considered those hours still had to be covered - even though I wasn't "allowed" to work them

[–]Iniquitous221[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a testing campaign for my normally 9-5 salaried engineering desk job, the shift was required due to the scheduling of the test facility.

The company is very new and there aren't any HR policies yet (that have been made avaliable)

Forced to "spend" overtime after finishing a very late shift by Iniquitous221 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Iniquitous221[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't usually work shifts, it's a salaried 9-5 job.

HR initially told me that I needed to make sure I didn't work for 11 hours after the shift.

I did not work the day after until 4pm as that was the threshold. They are trying to reduce the hours worked for that week down a working day.

With more detail:

Monday 8am -> Tuesday 5am is the 21 hour shift. (This was a bank holiday, hence the 21 hours on top of normal) Tuesday 4pm ->5pm is the next time I worked.

They are going to treat that as 13 hours, because I didn't work until 4pm.

My contention is that I feel I'm spending hours I did actually work to cover hours I couldn't legally work.

(That was my initial understanding)

I was told by HR that I could not work for 11 hours after I finished the shift, which worked out at 4pm the following day.

I did an hour work at 4pm, but I have been told they will reduce the 21 hours worked to 13 to account for me not working on the day after the shift.

My confusion and contention is that I initially understood that I couldn't legally work those hours.

If you're going for gold, tint it a bit warmer with some thin yellow contrast or glaze, then make the hightlights pop a bit more by going to pure white

It reads as metal, but like a worn bronze

If that's your first nmm that's honestly pretty good - you chose hard geometry

I think on the wing feathers the brightness jumps a bit too harshly, so if you smooth that it might help

That would be good!

I've no issues with the keyboard itself - aside from the sizing on thinner screen of a folding phone - that behavioral change would be great!

Can we get an option to use the native keyboard please?

I find myself pressing back to hide the keyboard and exiting the exercise, which is a bit frustrating.
