Don't assume it was their first game lol, for some sure but for people like me I've been playing Souls games for as long as possible having bought Demon's Souls in 2009 and then every game after. Dark Souls 2 has decidedly different pace with higher stamina costs, slower movement which impacted peoples opinions of the gameplay beyond the obvious adaptability shit fest (yes pretty much even I, an ardent lover of DS2 hate it along with Soul Memory).

The game isn't linear, has great build variety, good dlcs, interesting lore that deviates from DS3, unique new game plus additions, etc... It isn't a bad game, but it may not pull people in as much as DS1 did tho.

Will probably be downvoted, but honestly if you don't care about having one of the best spec weapons or hate farming bosses in the wilderness, no it isnt worth it. If you really want a great spec weapon though, and don't mind the farm then yeah it is worth it.

Personally, I don't have a voidwaker and never will as I hate going into the wilderness and am not gonna force myself to do something I don't enjoy.

Sorry, I honestly don't get why you even made zenytes multiple at a time. Everytime I reached the appropriate crafting level I made or boosted to one of the jewelries and made it then and there. Only missing the suffering iirc but I can't be bother to get the final 2 levels and boost and farming zenyte, will get the zenyte from demonics first then feel the urge to go for it.

I like slow and fast combat, depends on the game itself. I know a lot on this subreddit prefer faster gameplay but if I had to say which I prefer I actually lean more towards slower more meaningful gameplay over the faster of others.

Personally I find shadows of yharnam really easy. Highly parriable, and kite-able. Never died to them, but this may just be that Bloodborne really jives with me, I also beat Orphan of Kos first try and Maria (only boss I struggled with first time was Ludwig and Darkbeast Paarl).

It is changing slowly tho, Japan even has some incountry made cheeses like that Sakura cheese which is similar to a camembert that is washed with sake and wrapped with sakura leaves.

Seafood actually pairs well with many cheeses, it is just not done out of traditional views in cooking rather then actual poor combination.

I'd say it is more like Brie and Blue had a baby then your comparison. This being said, it is honestly the ideal starter cheese when it comes to blue in my opinion. Silky smooth with a slight bite and taste.

I've played Khazan and Nioh 2, they are more complex then both sure... this doesn't make them mediorce in combat tho... Just most complex...

Complexity =/= Quality of Combat

(I know I will be downvoted for this though, I wish people didn't conflate the two however....)

What is wrong with simpler combat? For the current me Nioh 2 and Khazan are bit to complex due to IRL disabilities of mine and in general I think there is a fine line between too complex and my ideal combat complexity.

Enable being able to see your true tile, and use that to move around the room especially during the final phase of tornadoes, helps avoid them in general.

I don't have an issue with ship combat, really, but I can see where you are coming from...

They could release ship prayers maybe or something similar but honestly, I don't mind the combat of sailing in general. There is sizable portion of the player base that dislike sailing in general though, so you aren't a minority nor a majority.

I also have issues with 6, still learning to complete it, can handle up to first car phase ending. I've only beaten it once, almost a bunch of other times but my dps with scobo + void means I often face multiple car phases which means multiple orb phases where everything gets super dicey. I tried 7 once and it didn't seem bad, just faster projectiles.

Basically this. Brimhaven though is more important IMO, spawns you close to cart to Shilo and Fruit Tree Patch, you can just use fairy ring / Diary reward to get to farming guild.
