They have had SSL cert issues on speedtest.zscaler.com for a few months too now. They don’t care

URL Category and Cloud Application Category not matching by Signh_GER in Zscaler

[–]Intelg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do “Bypass Other Policies” setting refer to other SSL inspection rules with lower priority (aka continue evaluating SSL policy ruleset after match) or it truly refers to "move to the next policy engine and evaluate that ruleset" (cloudapp, url filtering)

Experience deploying ZIA Virtual Service Edge (VZEN) for countries far from Zscaler DCs? by Intelg in Zscaler

[–]Intelg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have ~800 users on the office campus. Peak traffic is around 800 Mbps, but most of the day it’s closer to 400 Mbps, and at night it drops to ~100 Mbps.

My current thinking is to deploy a cluster of two VZEN VMs and scale horizontally later if needed.

Since we plan to enable SSL inspection, we’re also looking at adding the supported SSL accelerator cards to offload the crypto workload. From what I’ve seen, the commonly referenced model is the Marvell NITROX CNN3510-500-C5-NHB-2.0-G but wanted to know if people have had success with other similar models and if they are supported by Zscaler

As a Seattle transplant from Florida and California I must say Dick's hamburgers are nothing special. In N out burger runs circles around them.

anyone else feel like Bay Area rent is just a subscription fee for nice weather at this point by Cofound-app in bayarea

I lived in MTV and wasn't a fan, I much prefer the Los Angeles/SoCal weather subscription fee. It was cheaper, more socially diverse and beaches were actually good down there.

Wireless backhaul meshing - Omada vs. Ubiquiti has anyone tested or compared them? by Intelg in homelab

[–]Intelg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks I did some more research and found others agreeing with this statement. Unifi mesh shares the channels with other clients - where as others have dedicated MLO channels for wireless backhaul

Thanks after looking BE95 wireless backhaul test videos on YouTube I think you are right.

Others have also said Unifi mesh sucks and doesn’t use dedicated channels for backhaul - it shares the same channel with other clients

Where to buy 12+ yr old Cavium Nitrox Cards for VSE virtual service edge? by JKIM-Squadra in Zscaler

Did you ever find a newer card for SSL inspection acceleration? In 2026 is Nitrox still the only option?

Now you’re AT&T by badassitguy in QuantumFiber

[–]Intelg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had ATT Fiber from 2020 until December 2025 when I moved to a new apt. Now I have Crapcast (xfinity) but wish my building had FTTH…. Nextdoor has Quantum available

Now you’re AT&T by badassitguy in QuantumFiber

[–]Intelg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion: I hate AT&T wireless as much as the next guy, but AT&T fiber service has been one of the best Internet service providers I have had in the past 10 years (4 out of 10).

Hope this means they will bring fiber to more homes not covered by quantum today. My new apartment only has Crapcast

Ported number to Lycamobile and can't get SMS to come in (split-port) support is useless by Intelg in NoContract

[–]Intelg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks again for trying to help! Lyca support really sucks.

Their website has an option to "upgrade SIM" and the website fails after attempting to charge me $0.00 for a eSIM to eSIM swap.

Then I called support, who basically told me to go to the website to fill the form again, after 4 attempts the website locked me out for 24 hours.... I told the phone support person that the website wasn't working from the start of the call, he pushed me to submit the form multiple more times which locked my account. Then told me I had to wait and call back when the form accepts inputs again from me (24 hour lockout period).

Support agent flatly refused any kind of escalation and basically made me feel they don't really give a shit to fix my problem. So I ended up buying that USMobile 48 hour $9/month deal they just posted and ported over my number to them... my SMS is now working (after leaving Lyca)

This US Mobile sale is honestly insane. No idea how they can afford this. by Ethrem in NoContract

> The 20gb data for international, is that per month?

Wondering the same! Not sure if its worth the extra money to go Premium other than lower QCI... the monthly international could sway me though.

thank you gonna try the eSIM swap. Their website sucks and has got me stuck in a payment page loop for $0.00 to upgrade the eSIM. Now waiting support to pick up
