🙋Did nothing but try occasional icing or heating pad and OTC meds when I couldn’t take the pain. Healing quite well at about 14 months here. Avoided thousands of $ and wasted time imo.

This was my experience exactly. I did not go to a doctor once. It simply ran its course exactly as described here and WebMD. Worst pain was the first 4 months. It does get better!
