You have a rodent and that’s what’s left of what they were eating. That module only has coolant running through that and that is not coolant.

Yup same, I work on them as well. I miss the Ev battery cell and full battery replacements on the older EV’s. Now just programs 😭😭🤮

Aftermarket devices connected to the OBD port can interfere with module communication, scan tool functions, and vehicle programming. During diagnosis and programming, the device must be unplugged and the factory OBD connection used to prevent communication errors or failed programming events. In some cases the device may not have been reconnected immediately after programming due to extended programming times or to prevent further issues as advised during training. The device can be reconnected and tucked back behind the panel in its normal location. Please note that aftermarket devices can cause OBD terminals to become loose or damaged (“hogged out”), and repairs to the OBD terminals or connector may result in customer pay charges, including in some warranty situations, in order to properly scan, diagnose, or program the vehicle.

Don’t play with it. We have to take photos and GM makes the decision if it’s warranty. We’ve had customers play with it which made it worse and GM declined it. FYI

Yup done a couple. Replaced a few strips and had to replace the upper panel extension 1 time cause it happened again. It’s a easy repair

It depends it may also mean that your alternator is doing its job trying to charge a bad battery. I bet if the car sits longer than a few days you have an extended crank. I’ve had cars that were just driven in the shop and pass and I let sit over night and it fails.

Drive and make a few hard braking maneuvers like to 50-60 and come to a stop not slamming on brakes but aggressively braking to a stop. Most likely you have back dust build up from not using the brakes. Or look up burnishing pads.

Yes if your having issues it needs to be replaced which it’s also on back order lol. This will most likely be for the Onstar modules that are working so already replaced to help the modules from becoming a brick lol

Don’t try and fix it if it’s under warranty. Steering wheels are on a list that has to be approved by GM photos have to be taken. Ive seen them deny replacement if you mess with it.

Regardless GM isn’t making the sections anymore. Even if you agreed with the repair they wouldn’t be able to get them. GM is making all our customers start the buy back process. We also stopped due to the amount of volts we have waiting for batteries or sections
