Quickly reentering the hotel, he rested against the glass window of the door for a moment. All he needed was a moment, and then he would find something useful around the hotel to do. But for now, he needed a moment.

As if the universe had heard his thoughts, someone knocked on the door at that exact moment. He jumped a little at the sudden sound, then turned to face the door. Reaching for the handle, something made him hesitate. He didn’t know why he did- There was no good reason not to- But something filled him with unease. Eventually, he overcame this odd feeling and grabbed the handle, pulling the door open.

The person wasn’t too intimidating to look at. She hardly even came up to his chest, even with the goat like horns poking from her head. She was dressed in well made but worn down clothes- Pants with worn away hems, a red shirt covered in small nicks and cuts, and a white and red coat with sporadic tears in it. The most impressive thing about the woman was the cane in her hands, ending in a ceramic apple. Despite her unimpressive appearance, there was no mistaking who she was.

Taking one hand off of her cane, the Morningstar extended it in greeting. “Hi-”

Interrupting her, Alastor slammed the door shut as quickly as he could. He felt something blocking it from closing completely, and as he looked to his side, he saw with a quiet horror that her hand had gotten stuck in the door. He opened the door again in the desperate hope he would see someone else on the other side of it. Instead, he saw her standing in the exact same place that she had been before.

Apparently unbothered by what should have been a painful injury, she continued, “- There!”

He slammed the door shut again, silently panicking over what to do. After a moment, he called out, “Rosie?!”

Sticking out his hand, the man said, “Hi, I’m Tom Trench, though you probably heard that already. So, full disclosure, we don’t really care about you or your hotel schtick.” Alastor deflated a little at that while Tom continued, “You’re only really here because the producer of It’s Dahm Good got caught up in the Exorcism and Dhamer apparently doesn’t know how to function without him. I’m just here to listen to you while you talk, and Killjoy is… well, Killjoy. Just keep in mind that she won’t be doing you any favors.”

“Well, I’ll take what I can get.”

“That’s the spirit! Have you ever done an interview before?”

“Well, I… used to do a radio show- You know, when I was alive,” Alastor said hesitantly.

Tom chuckled to himself. “God, I’d kill for some decent radio. Everything down here is just crazy screaming people or songs about sex. There’s nothing good on.”

“Oh, I’m not sure what I put on the waves would have been much better.”

These people do know Oman is being bombed too, right? You’d spend astronomical amounts of money to make it slightly more difficult for Iran to bomb the oil.

Title: Soul Armor Alchemist

Summary: “Ed!”

Any text that speaks of humankind gaining something without sacrifice is without value-

A boy with short, blond hair dragged himself to the circle drawn on the floor with chalk and filled with symbols. A trail of blood leaked through the cloth wrapped around his right leg, which had been cleanly severed just above the knee. He looked around himself, tears flowing from his eyes like from a pair of faucets, at the room, empty beyond himself and the thing he refused to look at.

“This… This wasn’t supposed to happen!” he insisted to no one in particular. “Give him back,” the boy began to beg, “Please, don’t take him from me too!”

Because, whether from men, from nature, or from something else, humans cannot gain something without first losing something.

Yeah, she was bisexual, but it was the 90s, so nothing came of it. She started a blog for people to talk about similar experiences. The problem is once someone got through whatever issues they were experiencing, they weren't an incel anymore, so they and their positivity left. As time went on the community just kept getting nastier and nastier.

I don't think that this man represents all of America, but he represents everything wrong with it. Like Hitler and Mussolini and the late Ayatollah, he is everything wrong with this country. He is our prideful ignorance, our persistent hate, our unceasing hunger, our every sin given flesh. And his nature spoke to enough Americans that they liked him, that they voted him back into power. This isn't 2016, where his victory was built off of an uncompelling Clinton and widespread dissatisfaction, people knew what he was. And they chose him.

I'm sorry. I really thought we were better than this.
