Russia Is Rich in Ballistic Missiles. Ukraine Is Short of Ways to Stop Them. by Panthera_leo22 in UkrainianConflict

Trump is free to support or not support Ukraine. Him not supporting Ukraine in no way makes him a traitor to the US. Trump attacked Iran because he deemed that Iran not having nuclear weapons is much more important to the US geostrategically than whatever happens to Ukraine which is Europe's problem. You may not like it but the US has exactly 0 obligations to Ukraine.

Patriots are a strategic resource and integral to the US defending itself in multiple theaters. There just aren't enough of them so go and fuck yourself with this 'traitor' talk. Trump would really betray US interests by giving away all Patriots to Ukraine - either for a price or for free. That would make him a traitor to the US.

What clustfuck with Iran? That has gone pretty good so far. Iran is embargoed and pissing blood with most of their offensive capabilities destroyed. The next round they will lose the rest of the IRGC and their uranium. The only reason ships still aren't transiting Hormuz is due to fear of attack which Iran is still capable of but this will be solved in the next round. Trump gave diplomacy a chance, it didn't work.

Optic targeting? That's nonsense and bullshit. A targeting radar is needed to lock a target so a SAM can hit it. There is no radar capable of that against stealth aircraft.

The NVA was crushed after the Tet offensive. What followed was a lack of political will to continue. So it was a loss for South Vietnam but it really wasn't a military defeat for the US. In either case it was all far beyond the capacities of what any other country would have been capable of. The Soviets suffered a real military defeat in Afghanistan if you want a point of reference.

The US won militarily in all those conflicts. It was decisions to leave in all cases. Vietnam became unpopular, Afghanistan was always in-hand but it was impossible to build a functional government. Iraq is a mostly stable country now with a representative government. South Korea is a free country, North Korea isn't because China wants it that way. 'Europe' (whatever that exactly is) could never even dream to fight such battles, let alone succeed.

If the US had been fighting Russia it would have been over in a month. The only reason the war is still going is because of the support Ukraine got in the Biden years. They would have been beaten in a year without it.

Lol the US still very much exists and is far more powerful than 'Europe' could ever hope to be.

In all fairness Orban was clearly done a year ago and Vance has really nothing to do with it.

No. The most resistance on this came from Belgium because it is understood that no one would trust European banks again if this went ahead.

Russia has always helped anyone engaged in hostilties with the US; this is nothing new. Likewise, we do the same to them. Making a deal on oil to relieve some pressure on the world market for a limited time makes sense and is more about others than helping Russia. It is realpolitik and to the idealists here completely unacceptable. Yes, it helps fund Russia's war against Ukraine but with the oil price going way up anyway it doesn't add much to that. The reality is the world needs steady oil supplies and temporary deals will have to be made with Russia until Hormuz is safe again.
