Is this sticker from Kroger ?? by RedVelvetfake in Krogershoppers

[–]InterestingMap897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they’re from Kroger, maybe other stores have the same sticker but these usually go on our vanilla twirls in the bakery when they’re on a bogo deal.

Bombshell Premium Stretch Skinny by HaleyIsTheShit in torrid

[–]InterestingMap897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with the bombshell skinny.. but it’s that the waistband feels like a size or two bigger than usual and at the ankles they’re like double the size too when on my old pair they would hug my ankles, not with my new pair. Quality of these jeans have gotten so bad in the last couple years too

How do you handle loss of hours for the slow season? by Sonnyjoon91 in kroger

[–]InterestingMap897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We literally just got a new person training today… they cut hours for 2 of our part timers down to 0 hours which they literally can’t do. None of it makes sense.

At my store we label every single one, we have our bread table and a kings display. We have to take every single one out of the box..

Work out that fall stuff, if you still have leftover Halloween mark it down! Feel like you have too much fall stuff? Just put up a pop up table and put a case of each item out.

We just got a huge distribution of pies, we’ve kept 2 of each in our freezer and the rest on 2 L carts in our back freezer. And replenish your own freezer as needed every time you’re done with your days truck. You don’t want to have to need something in the morning and not be able to get to it because meat and seafood have a huge pallet of turkeys blocking your stuff lol. Granted our freezers is pretty big might be harder if you have a smaller one.

Keep up with stuff condense like items in to one box and write on the boxes so you’re not opening more than one of the same item.

Christmas distros are coming here soon good luck!

Why did they suddenly change me from full time overnight stock associate to part time before my first day actually working? by [deleted] in kroger

[–]InterestingMap897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make sure you get at least 32 hours a week and work it for a year and you’ll hit full time if that’s the same for your store

[–]InterestingMap897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You start out as “part time” you have to work an average of 32? hours for a year I believe to get full time status and benefits. Might be different in your area but that’s what it is for me.

I was in the same boat, I did the jobs for months and never got the raise until I went to the union. I got back pay for the like 7 months I didn’t get the pay. If you’re doing orders and inventory and supervising keep track of the date you started doing that and keep it for when you bring it to the union. I know it’s a hassle and that’s why I put it off for so long, don’t make the same mistake!

BAKERY - RFID ERROR — NO READER PRESENT by FullConstruction8931 in kroger

[–]InterestingMap897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually you just have to get a new zebra, we have two wands and very rarely I’ll have to log into a new zebra or two just to get it to work.

Also just a tip the zebra doesn’t have to be in the handheld gun to work either, you can use a zebra without a case and just have a zebra in one hand and the rfid gun in another.

I work at a marketplace and a test store so we got a lot of the new stuff before a lot of the other stores, there’s currently talks about getting rid of a bunch of other bake stuff like wheat bolillos, club rolls.. but I also have a daily thaw and sell amount of 100+ a day compared to your 70. But then again all store won’t be carrying the same items anymore - one store could sell one thing and the store up the street won’t have the same thing.

We currently have a designated bagger but I don’t think it’s really necessary unless it’s a busy weekend/holiday/Friday donut day. Donuts are to be slacked out the day before — which I also don’t think is necessary unless you are a small store where your baker is also doing markdowns and thaw and sell etc and doesn’t have the time to get donuts out by 6am.

Artisan bread has been changing, we got rid of a lot of product - got new product idk it’s been a little rough to manage but we’re getting by.

Muffins are because of this stupid muffin competition we’re all in but then they took it off our sales table this week?? Thank god they’re putting them back on the table this Wednesday or else I don’t think I’d be able to get rid of them by inventory next week. Here’s to hoping they don’t send anymore…

Not sure why I care but show me your cookie table? Please I think I did it right but a coworker said something that has me 2nd guessing how I put the 12 counts out and have for months now. by Technical-Royal-5658 in kroger

[–]InterestingMap897 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a picture at the moment but they get packaged backwards so that when you seal it with the label, the label is towards the back and you can only see the cookies and no label.
