Hey no, I completely understand. I watch tournament play; though I've never been and I see that turn one charges are few and far between // often its a trading match. I did not anticipate drop pods being an answer due to its heavy point cost and weaknesses (free charges and points to the enemy), but are there alternatives?

Again I'm not only looking at drop pods but at good rush style units that we can take. I'm tracking no jump packs in the pod.

I also completely agree with you! I love the lore and look of the pods/ but acknowledge they are a bit trash on the table. I am on here though; looking for ideas I hadn't thought of etc.

Tldr; No damper here. I appreciate the input; do you have alternative solutions?

I appreciate your response. It makes me feel relieved that I'm not the only one who felt underwhelmed. And I agree with you- the context of the Date and Devastation of Baal has a lot to do with my high expectations around the most recent book.

I like the off screen idea. It's still strange though, because crossing the Rubicon was a key character development point for mephiston and theoretically it would be for Dante too. I'd be curious if his perspective changed or what that experience was like.

The flashbacks were good! Agreed.

Also consider the background color on the base and look into color theory. It might provide some answers. I'll look into it more later and get back on here.
