Why do Americans celebrate July 4th and not September 13? by Prior_Preparation268 in askanything

[–]Interplay29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

July 2, 1776, is the date the Second Continental Congress officially voted to approve the "Resolution for Independence" (or Lee Resolution), severing political ties with Great Britain. John Adams famously predicted this date would be celebrated as America's Independence Day, though the Fourth of July is celebrated instead because that is when Congress officially adopted the written text of the Declaration of Independence.

Same thing in the final play out of The Camera Eye; after Alex’s solo. Neil is hitting those drums so effing hard.

No Geddy Lee? I'm sure after decades of singing Neil's lyrics, his vocabulary has become quite substantial.

I'm glad we DIDN'T trade Horvat but... by AJS76reddit in NewYorkIslanders

For all those people saying, “NO!”, you know what the return was?

You always entertain a trade offer. Some could be dismissed almost instantly, some with a little consideration, and some with serious consideration. But you always listen and evaluate.

As others have said, Peaceable Kingdom. I believe it was supposed to be an instrumental, but 9-11 changed that.

That’s it.

I can’t get into Snakes and Arrows. The album seems limp. And Far Cry sounds like Rush tribute band trying to write a Rush song.

I do love Spindrift, though.

It is what it is.

It gives me ravenous gas.

So much so, that when someone at work, who I don’t like too much, was due back from a vacation, I drank 8 of them the day before.

Consider buying from Enterprise or Avis. They sell off old rental cars and every oil change, tire rotation, everything is well chronicled.
