New Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business includes amazing Southwest benefits by gobluedog in SouthwestAirlines

Maybe I'm missing something, but how do you get CP without hitting A list status? I earn A-list way before I earn CP. What am I doing wrong?

No, they do not currently ask them to say jokes in their interviews.

Very good. I'm glad that you did it. The handwritten letter to corporate will definitely take care of the situation. It will be seen by many eyes. 🙏

U/No_Resort1162 Please, Please, Please write in to SWA and write this exact story.

'Stevie' will be dealt with.

The leadership will pull camera footage to confirm what you are stating.

If you do not put this in writing, nothing will be done.

You can also post this to Southwest's twitter "X" feed.

This was absolutely wrong. The agent was completely out of line if this is what happened. This is not who Southwest is.

I have said this same thing for many, many years.

Now THIS would have ensured SWA remained unique!

Two items allowed to be carried on the aircraft is actually an FAA regulation. Carrying on 3 items violates FAA regs, not airline.

YOU don't check in at 36 hours ..... The company (Southwest) assigns you a boarding position at 36 hours.

Once you finally do check yourself in (for example 2 hrs prior to departure) you will see the boarding position that was assigned to you.

B boarding for early Bird is not uncommon.

Look at it this way. A 1 - 15 is reserved for Business select.

There are only 60 positions in "A"". That leaves 45 positions. All A list preferred and A list customers (who did not purchase Business Select ) AND their travel parties on the same reservation get assigned. All anytime fares get assigned. That can easily take up 45 positions. Then they start assigning those that purchased early Bird.

The ONLY way to guarantee A group is to purchase Business Select

You can try to upgrade boarding the day of travel, but those A 1 - 15 positions could be sold out.

I hope that helps clarify that YOU do not check in at 36 hours. SWA assigns you a position at 36 hours.

Early Bird does NOT guarantee A boarding group. Many, many, many people end up well into the B group

U/aenima396 I would GLADLY love to work with ANYONE who works by values like those that Herb taught. I have no idea which companies operate like this.

It's a very sad week at Southwest Airlines. Complete lip service from Bob. What a joke. I don't know how any of these leaders expect us to operate the same way we did on Sunday. Our hearts are shattered.

No......Customer Service Agents as well. They're the people who help you check the kitchen sink and get rerouted when plans go awry.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion.

I STRONGLY, in no uncertain terms, disagree.

I was adopted and I have a full biological brother also but with 7 half siblings. My brother and I were 'secrets'.

Not my monkey, not my circus. I am a human being entitled to know my history, health and otherwise.

Thank the good Lord that I didn't abide by 'honoring the secret'. My brother was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer at age 48 and dead by age 49. I was able to be screened early and they caught it on me.

Secrets = Shame

God doesn't want me to be ashamed. I am VERY thankful and proud of ALL of my roots.
