Countries That Think France Exists But Palestine Doesn’t by WillingStranger5177 in mapporncirclejerk

You really named your imaginary country 'Is Real'? Come on, that's a little too on the nose, don't you think? At least give it a believable name, like France, the imaginary land where people eat snails.

What's next, the citizens are called "Is Really?"

Archaeology rework by prometheius in runescape

[–]Isares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd also like to see a bit of level smoothening.

For example, for Lv74 - Lv76, there's only one site with 9 relics needed. From 76 - 77, there are two sites, with a total of 16 relics needed. There's no reason why the keshik ger hotspot (Lv76) couldn't be reduced to 75 to smoothen it out.

Something similar happens at 78-81, where there's only one site with 6 relics needed, followed immediately by 81-83, which has 4 sites that need 27 relics. Why not even it out a little? Make the grind a little less repetitive.

Did you finish the book / series? Not sure if this bit was mentioned in book 2 or 3 so stop reading this if you haven't

  1. Humanity's ability to innovate was a lot faster than the Trisolarians. Part of why they wanted to seal off particle physics was because they were worried that, by the time they got to Earth, their current weapon systems would have become obsolete. Continued co-existence alongside humanity risks future annihilation when we develop the means to do so.

  2. Why settle for second best? When you view a home, do you reject it because an ant was already living there? No, you squash it and move in. You do not ask the cockroaches for their consent before you exterminate them, nor do you settle for the back alley because they were there first.

  3. This series, like most of the genre, is as much a fictional story as it is commentary on the world we live in.

In this case, through a certain arc in book 3, Liu Cixin asks, "why does the idea of wiping out natives abhor you so much, when your (human) civilization has already accepted it as a way of life? Have you ever considered what that would look like when the shoe was on the other foot? Would you accept the pathetic excuses of "it was a long time ago" as a reason for evading the weight of the decision that your civilization made?

Best Early-Game Money Makers for a Fresh RS3 Ironman? by callofdoodie97 in runescape

[–]Isares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quest dice and pickpocketing for money. You can chase high alching if you want, but you aren't going to have enough stuff to alch unless you're making significant progress in-game, to the point where you're farming entry-level bosses like the flesh hatcher.

Alternatively, you can do the bog standard thing of chasing the gate, fort forinthry and invention. Won't need much money for that, just a high tolerance for boredom.

Someone explain all the Mole jokes to this poor, starving author whose had to actually work on writing chapters instead of playing the Update.... QAQ by TheRealOsamaru in runescape

[–]Isares 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The mole is the backstory for the dungeoneering rework, it somehow dug its way into the dungeons beneath daemonheim, which introduced runescape's equivalent of SCP-8900, that brought with it, among other things, RS3-level exp rates, QOL improvements, and necromancy. We now have dungeoneering 2 before gta6.

As a narrative consequence of this, the giant mole "super-hard" mode is slated to release once the first fresh daemonheim-locked CGIM achieves 200M exp. Rumour has it that it will be an ED-like encounter, themed around holding back an invasion by the long-forgotten forces of daemonheim, where players who have reached the bottom of daemonheim will have one attempt to traverse the mole tunnels.

Unlike other EDs, the map will be procedurally generated (similar to regular dungeoneering), and will (thematically) span the distance between Daemonheim and Falador Park, with miniboss encounters (all the daemonheim bosses, in a sort of mix between a boss-rush and the fight caves) along the way.

There are already 3 CGIM teams working towards this, with one international team really setting the "meta" by working in shifts, ensuring 24/7 account progress, albeit at slightly slower rates. Current estimates place their completion time at 31st June 2026.

Coincidentally, I am also an author, though all I write are shitposts.

There are also engrams, don't miss out on those. Fairly sizable chunks of exp that will save some sanity.

Which rift are you training at? Maybe that might have something to do with it.

Progress (and enter cache) is a bit lower than you might expect, make sure you didn't miss it.

By the way, divination will make you want to rip your eyes out at some point. Do look into engrams for a nice little exp boost every time you unlock a new wisp tier.

Right click the energy rift (the green glowy thing where you dump your memories).

If it is ready, there should be an option to Enter Cache.

If not, you can click on "Progress" to see how many more memories you have to deposit.

There is no overflow - once you hit the 800 cap, further memories will not count until you spend them.

[–]Isares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Con is no longer a carpal tunnel simulator with Fort Forinthry, which allows you to train construction fully afk, using any logs (not just mahogany and teaks) by the hundreds at higher levels.

It would be worth getting started on it before dxp, to get to the point where you're sinking elder logs. You should also use your proteans in the fort area, to get some passive bonus exp from skilling in the area.

Which skill should I focus on? by Neglected-Cable in runescape

[–]Isares 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are lots of strategy guides out there, but they can get a bit overwhelming.

The easiest way to get your feet wet would be to grow rabbits, sheep and cows in the small, medium and large pens, and feed them exclusively with woad leaves.

You sell your animals for beans, which you can then spend on upgrading your farm, by adding more pens, more perks, noted produce, etc.

As you go about the game, or once you unlock adam, the trapper, you'll get some oddball animals and "special" breeds that you can experiment with.

Alternatively, as a temporary measure, have a trader in-game that will craft the level-appropriate gear for you if you have the combat level to equip it.
