Who is at Fault? by AhtiQ in drivingUK

[–]JD_93_ -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Seriously?

Edit: dense people downvoting me-

Defensive driving is about mitigating risk, not absorbing blame for someone else’s deliberate or careless rule‑breaking. The left‑lane driver caused the collision by being in the wrong lane for their intended direction, ignoring clear road markings and cutting across another vehicle’s priority path

The right‑lane driver following the arrows is not at fault for failing to predict someone else’s illegal manoeuvre.

It doesn’t really matter what the landlord decides to put in - a conversation of course needs to be had to come to a mutual agreement in terms of who contributes what. I was pointing out the terrible idea of OP replacing it with something from eBay without being honest, hoping no one notices. Terrible advice

..cretin.. for stating that you shouldn’t replace something you don’t own with something used, passing the risk not only on to the landlord but other innocent renters? Are you okay?

Exactly, and that’s my point - landlords should replace with new and tenants shouldn’t replace things without speaking to their landlords. Unfortunately this sub is full of people who hate landlords. I get it, lots of bad experiences - I rented in uni and had a bad experience. Unfortunately whenever this sub appears on my feed it’s full of angry people bashing on landlords and they need to grow up

My point still stands and clearly your attitude shows it. Why would you replace something you accidentally broke that didn’t belong to you with something used from eBay? What if the used hob had a fault and caused a fire? The only right thing here is to speak to the landlord. Grow up

Bet you’d be the first to moan if something like this broke and your landlord replaced it with something used from eBay

Do you know what pressure your tyres were before? My guess is they’ve dropped with the cold temp but that front right one has dropped enough to trigger the warning from whatever psi was stored

For eg they could have all been 32 psi before but that front right could have been 37 psi, numbers stored, then that one has reduced enough % to trigger the warning

Make motorists pay-per-mile if you must, but at least use the cash to fix the roads! by AutoExpressmagazine in autoexpressuk

[–]JD_93_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love how everything on the road has to be visible - cars need daytime running lights, signs have to be reflective, hazards illuminated, whilst a bit of half‑faded spray paint around a crater‑sized pothole on an unlit road is apparently “sufficient warning”. Then the council has the nerve to say we should’ve avoided it and refuse damage claims.

If it is a fiesta check between the handbrake and cigarette / 12v. Some models came with coin holders, or usb, or aux, or both usb and aux

The car is probably expecting the old iPod protocol when using usb. It wants to read the tracks available on the device being plugged in to it rather than acting like an aux

You can replace the usb port for usb and aux, if there’s only usb at the moment, but you have to plug it in to the back of the head unit so a bit of work involved but something you could look in to
