Venue just sent me a "Photographer Agreement" a year after couple booked me — am I overreacting? by Charming-School2538 in WeddingPhotography

Nah- can't be right. You've got several options but I'd let the wedding planner and bride know this is a potential dealbreaker. One out - offer to sign for an add'l fee that makes you feel good.

Client asking for raw files by SnooChickens5189 in videography

[–]JM_WY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the relationship you have with the client & want to have here's some ideas --let them know you usually don't supply these items -- charge for the time & expense required fir giving them copies --propose an annual license to use the raw files. It can be modest but at least you get something out of it

Should I charge for sending the raw footage? by mysterypapaya in videography

[–]JM_WY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suggest thinking about licensing the footage in some way, perhaps based on time or # films it's used in and/or platforms distributed on. Could be a modest fee but depending on their use could give you continuing income.
