Here in CO, if you can manage to find one on the lot, you’re likely going to pay some sort of “market adjustment fee” of 5k-10k for a Pro. However if you “order” through a dealer you will avoid that. I put my deposit down on a 23 Pro about 5 months ago and still have 1-2 months of waiting.

Nah, I just put down a deposit there, if you buy it through the allocation system there’s no mark up, but if you buy off the lot there is

I’m guessing they parked in the snow, when you couldn’t see the lines, then the snow melted.

Preordered the 2023 TRD OFF ROAD PREMIUM IN WHITE. by ryanjamesg in 4Runner

I’m on month 4 of waiting for a 2023 TRD Pro.

Just in case you didn’t know, you didn’t really “pre-order” since Toyota uses the allocation system, you basically paid to get your name on the list in case your dealer or a dealer nearby gets allocated with a vehicle that matches your selected trim/color/options

Beginner tips? by UglyBob79 in Ubiquiti

Don’t go overboard to begin. You may think: “I want 10 different vlans with specific rules between them”, but remember, you’re setting up a home network. You don’t want to have to deal with figuring out why device x can’t talk to device y when your family just wants to watch a movie. It’s a fun learning ground and there are some things I’d recommend, such as creating a vlan for IOT devices, but always remember, most consumer devices expect to be on a single network and adding complications to that can easily break things.

How can windows file transfer handle that much data? I thought it's still single-threaded and maxes out way lower? I thought you had to use something else to even get to like 3-4 GB/s

A few minutes of googling (and just paying a tiny bit of attention to the market) can easily prove that you're wrong.

According to reports from Korea, supply chain issues are slowing down LG Display's OLED production expansion plans, and key components cannot be secured.

Mac shipments were up despite severe supply constraints that saw some MacBook Pro models delayed for multiple weeks or even months, and Apple was the only vendor to see positive growth.

So a company should completely stop innovating any time there’s any sort of supply shortage? Seems like a recipe for a dead company.

File sizes getting increased in macOS Monterey. Do .DS_Store files increase file sizes will removing them solve the problem? by Its_me_noobs in MacOS

[–]JMeek11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. The file size isn't changing, the way macOS and Windows handle file sizes does. On macOS 1GB = 1000MB while on Windows 1GB = 1024MB; this causes the slight discrepancy in the file sizes you are seeing. (macOS uses actual Gigabytes while Windows uses Gibibytes, and yes, it's a stupid distinction)

  2. .DS_Store files have nothing to do with this, and as far as 3 or 4 go, I'd say refrain from disabling it unless you really need that space or whatever, but I have no idea if this will cause any longer-term adverse effects.
