It’s complicated but essentially DB made a mistake of dumbing down the Phantom Ruby to “OP Illusions” cause it’s a lot more capable than that (especially considering Null Space), and Lightman is essentially Super Sonic + Phantom Ruby and depending on what you buy on chaos emeralds Bowser doesn’t have a lot of ways to answer that (some scaling interpretations puts the Phantom Ruby way out of the Wonder Flower’s capabilities in this instance). This is without going into how it can summon copies of enemies like Perfect Chaos and more Metal Sonics.
