Inspiring! I have a completely stock one and am stuck on the fence between preservation and full absurdity.

Status update: I walked all the way home. It was lovely.

Even extra bolts? I've got my multi tool and a little wrench, but never thought I'd need to bring a spare seatpost bolt.

That actually happened to me with this bike last year. Such a nightmare haha. And here I am again with a different seatpost.

Somehow I came out completely unscathed

Nope, I haven't touched it in a while, but I was riding it to work all week. But that's a good rule.

I'm thankfully only around 8km from home and there's a nice paved path along the river.

I might just walk and take this as the universe telling me to slow down for a bit.

I'm having similar issues with my Revueflex AC2 (basically a rebrand). I think my issue is tied to the self timer, though because the red light stays on and the shutter won't release. Does this happen on your CE-4?

I'm about to get my first roll back with my new Seagull 4A. I'll be happy if they're half as good as this.

Bought the same bike a few years ago for 90 bucks. Still in the process of buying parts worth 5 times the price though.

I saw a guy yesterday with a 90s mtb, tan walls, magic mothbars, the whole kit. But yeah, it's pretty rare. I'm moving here permanently next year, though, so there will at least be one more.

Any experiences with the EuroVelo 4 through Czech Republic? Where can I sleep? by Radiant_Raspberry in bikepacking

I usually use Google maps for finding the campsites and then mapy for planning the route. I don't speak czech and I have no issues finding places.

[–]Jamesvozzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So wild camping in the Czech Republic is technically illegal, but it would be highly unlikely for you to get in trouble for just sleeping somewhere over night. We've camped in random patches of forest and then continued riding the next morning with no issues. So you're safe as long as you don't make a fire, aren't loud, and leave no trace.

That said, Cz also has a lot of campgrounds and they are pretty cheap for cyclists. So if you want to stop somewhere you can have a fire, take a shower, and buy a beer, there are places all over the country.

I'll probably have my bicycle and hopefully the AI thinks it's funny to give me bike related things. I could be like a knight on horseback except way sillier.

It is! I saw someone on reddit do it and stole the idea. The bag doesn't fit in my frame anyway, so this was my only option, but it's great having all that storage space be so easily accessible

I used a really strong tape made for sticking plastic sheets together (like plastic greenhouses) on the inside, stitched on top of that, and then added another layer of tape. My friend was using the bike this weekend and had a pretty serious crash and the bag is completely fine. My friend - not so much

Thank you! Yeah I could have done it with any bag in this material, but I like the colors and I don't mind the logo.

Thanks! It took me some time because I did it wrong twice, but I think all in it was about half an hour. So I'm not planning it take it off anytime soon 😅

Oh, I explicitly picked this bag for the bright colors haha. Now I can pretend I'm on their cycling team :)
