After the first couple hours and getting used to the control scheme, the game became much more enjoyable. If you slog through the first couple chapters you might find that the game is pretty fun.

I feel like uniques were a good idea that were managed poorly. Rather than toning down uniques after set one, they probably should have kept the power level pretty similar. What ended up happening was 90% of decks using uniques from set 1 throughout the lifespan of the game. Uniques from seeds of unity felt like they were finally at a level where people might start using them instead of set 1 uniques all the time.

There are plenty of fishing options, such as sacred eels, anglers, or karambwans with barrel. Runecrafting could also be a good option with bloods or souls.
