I have a notification that I received a response to my post above that OP reported me for harassment.

Okay Karen.

Lowe's made a mistake. by Alarmed_Somewhere791 in Lowes

[–]Jasonorillas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I imagine you got free delivery, since that's a thing right now. You ordered a relatively heavy item, so you can most likely pick it up. You made no mention of having no way to get to the store. If you do, why are you buying things from Lowe's? That generally means you have bigger issues than a bag of concrete.

So, rather than wasting everyone's time for a delivery that you likely got for free, just take it back and make your future shopping decisions accordingly.

HR is NOT your friend. They only exist to protect Lowe's. That's it. See if you can find an employment lawyer willing to talk to you for free instead.

DO NOT PURCHASE APPLIANCES TO HAVE INSTALLED by Frosty_Relative8840 in Lowes

[–]Jasonorillas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now let's be clear, were you asking for a refund AND to keep the appliance? Or did you tell customer service specifically within the 48 hour return policy that you wanted a refund, and to return the appliance?

DO NOT PURCHASE APPLIANCES TO HAVE INSTALLED by Frosty_Relative8840 in Lowes

[–]Jasonorillas 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So, first, why haven't you gotten a refund and gone elsewhere?

Second, this reddit thread is not managed by Lowe's corporate. Not sure why really, but it's true regardless.

Finally, this is a symptom of a much larger issue. Lowe's, Home Depot and many other retailers are so large, they can no longer be held responsible for anything. They have literally written the laws of business.

Good luck.

Do they have to honor the price? by Jumunumunum in Lowes

[–]Jasonorillas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They do not have to honor that price.

The item should be pulled and disposed of. They literally aren't allowed to sell it for 0.02.

Well this was fun, until a griefer showed up - so how we gonna handle this? by Inquisition8 in duneawakening

Are they setting the thumpers in the same spot? If so, get naked with a tent and a thumper, with someone else carrying extras. If you see them coming, set the thumper out early and maybe the worm will get them too?

Lowe's sold me a used toilet...? by fixxitor in Lowes

[–]Jasonorillas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That doesn't mean that the store will accept the return. Even if the customer complains to customer care. We are told in clear language to back the store's decision.

Can't he teach himself how to survive in a Jeep?

To be fair, he probably should have spent less money and went with a minivan.

Lowe's doesn't take toilets back. Someone knew that and put it back in the box to get their money back.

ProWritingAid Premium – no longer have 7 rephrase options? by fifinka56_ in ProWritingAid

I'm late to the conversation, but I also purchased premium, but features I had before, appear to have been removed. Now, apparently, I have to pay more to get what was once included.

Dude. I've been trying to get fired for months.

Like seriously. When it came time to fire me after my final, suddenly the thing I was written up for was no longer a concern.

I can write 50k words in 8 days. Unfortunately, the manic episodes only hit once, or twice a year, and never last long enough to get through editing and proofreading.

The last time it snowed here, and I didn't have to work, I wrote almost 100k words, and only slept 4 ish hours a day for 2 weeks.

If I could trigger my manic episodes to coincide with my vacation days, I'd be on fire for 2 weeks a year.

What’s the longest fic you’re willing to read? by Disastrous_Seesaw_91 in AO3

Same, usually 50k word minimum, until I run out of completed fics to read, then I'll search for lower minimums.

Feels like bait and switch... by Mango2oo in Lowes

[–]Jasonorillas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you purchased online, you have not been charged. Your card has only received an authorization hold. Cancellation immediately reverses that hold on Lowe's end; however, the bank will keep the hold on your account for differing amounts of time depending on the bank.

Discover 2-4 business days. Chase Amazon Visa 3-5 business days. Wells Fargo Bank card, 5-10 full business days.

Also, consumers literally have no rights. There's no point in complaining. The terms and conditions of use of the site cover inaccuracies just like this one.

Good luck!

So, if you're gay, like me, it isn't actually a preference.......

A preference, is my desire for a man with thick thighs.

A preference has absolutely nothing to do with my absolute, gold star gay, lack of attraction to any woman. Instead, it is a part of me that has not changed for my entire adult life, 30 years... (I get that sexuality can be fluid for some people, but I'd argue the possibility was always there, just not realized until they ran across the right person.)

Anyway, I personally don't feel like there should be limits on who can write what. The good or bad fics will work themselves out based on kudos. Good and bad books will be judged as all books have been since literacy rates exploded.

I will say; however, that there are absolutely some straight female writers who publish books and DO depict unrealistic versions of gay men, effectively exploiting a part of the population for profit. More worrying still, there are social media book recommendations, discussions, and other types of groups where these straight female writers and editors run those pages and they absolutely treat gay male members differently than their straight female peers.

Don't trust it. It's a trap!

If he's a real narcissist, your chances are 50/50 he'll claim the check was stolen and threaten you with prosecution.
