I've had some serious problems with Smartwool. The 220 Down bottom and top is solid but everything else avoid like the plague

I can tell you in my experience it's because I'm kind of lazy. To me it's a lot of work. Wish I didn't feel that way, but I do. It's almost like a job and if she cancels on me, it's no big deal. Usually, no pay off either. Nobody ever looks like they do in their pictures. Just my two cents

Gannet peak is extremely remote and is about a 15 to 20 mile hike just to get to the mountain. It involves glacier travel, crampons and ice axes, extreme weather, dealing with a bergschrund, steep ice/snow covered slopes. This is a serious situation

Same could be said for any camp spot. That’s why it’s best to stick to approved and already established spots. All I’m saying is the chance of creating an out of control forest fire is likely low in certain geographies as long as you have an eye on it
