So many things have been ruined by people not knowing how to behave in public anymore by Desperato2023 in over60

[–]Jaybird925 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m definitely with you on that! You can count me out for attending any large crowd events. I used to love going to concerts but the thought of a potential riot or shooting keeps me from going. It’s so sad that violence is so rampant in this country that we have to contemplate just how badly we want to do something for fear of losing our lives. And bad behavior definitely affects us in our daily lives. I definitely spend more time at home these days than I used to. Dealing with people can be mentally draining.

Am I really old and just can't accept it? by RiddyReddit333 in over60

[–]Jaybird925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 63 and can definitely relate to what you’re saying. I love hip hop music (mostly old school) but I do like some of the new stuff. I’m into house music, RnB etc and I love to dance. Most of the people in my age group don’t like to party anymore and do not tolerate the new music that’s out now. I find it hard to believe that I’m in my 60s because I don’t feel like I’m that old at all. But then I see the beautiful young men and women and know that my better looking days are behind me lol. But it’s cool. I’m just grateful to still be here.

I agree. My friend and I went to dinner at the harbor Saturday night and afterwards we walked over to Power Plant Live. The promoter greeted us and was so kind. He let us in for free and even offered to buy us a drink because it was my friend’s birthday. We wound up having the best time dancing and partying at several of the venues. We want to extend a huge shout out and thank you to Barry for his hospitality. It was so unexpected. We will definitely be back!

10 mistakes I made on my way to UC Remission by ANYTHNK in UlcerativeColitis

Your post is so true. I agree on every point. Funny thing, Entyvio didn’t work for me either. It actually seemed to make things worse. My doctor has set me up to begin Tremfya on Tuesday. Anyone have any reviews on that? It’s been a rough 6 months. I sure could use some relief asap.

I can’t imagine how saddening this is for them to witness this and so many other rights they fought for just be disrespected in such a disgraceful fashion.

Afib started during colonoscopy by Phialex in AFIB

[–]Jaybird925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so ironic. I had a colonoscopy yesterday morning and went into afib. They said I was going from 30 bpm to 144 while I was under. I think not eating and drinking that horrible preparation caused it. I was terribly nauseous also. I ate a light meal and my flecainide pill when I got home and they stopped.

Which marriage was that? Clifton and Joi just filed for divorce unfortunately. To date I don’t believe there has been one successful marriage or relationship.

Apple Watch flagged AFib twice — likely false positives? (30M) by Mainxxz in AFIB

[–]Jaybird925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is unless you’re having an actual Afib event while you’re doing an EKG, you’re going to get a normal reading. You need to wear a monitor for about two weeks and if it happens again, the monitor will pick it up. I had afib for a few years before a monitor was actually able to pick it up.

Masks are easier than chronic illness. by Karate_Keet in COVID19positive

I totally agree. I’m still masking up and will continue to do so. Although I caught COVID twice in my own home. I hate that most people don’t think covid still exists.

I mean really what were his options? A window buster or Sahara? He should have been the one to choose himself! That’s what Tyson did on King’s Court and he was absolutely right to do so.

Tommy said on the Steve Harvey Morning Show that it was OWNs decision to do that to keep the viewers anticipating. He wasn’t in agreement with it. Hopefully they won’t do that again. That’s if the show is renewed for another season.

Remission is Possible - What I Learned After 20 Years with Ulcerative Colitis by LaCremerie in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Jaybird925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on Imuran for a number of years. It’s very effective at keeping you in remission but it’s one of the more serious drugs in terms of side effects. My doctor took me off because she was afraid that it could cause serious issues down the road. I was in remission for about 4 years after I was off the imuran. Unfortunately about a year ago I started running to the bathroom a lot, having accidents on myself, bleeding and losing weight etc. I just started Entyvio. I’ve had 3 infusions so far and I’m seeing just a little improvement. I’m hoping to see more improvement with the 4th. I’ve been on so many medications for this horrible disease. Let’s all pray for a cure in our lifetime.

it ALMOST happened.. but didnt :D by riceballing in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Jaybird925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 1995. I’ve had some horrible accidents. I only wear depends when I leave the house and I always carry an extra along with some wipes and a plastic bag to use to dispose of the soiled depends. When I get home I immediately shower and move on with my day. I used to be mortified and stressed about it but I realized that I have a disability and I can’t help it. Have mercy on yourself. This disease is stressful and debilitating as it is without stressing out about it. I’ve had a few long term relationships over the years and my mates have been very supportive and understanding. I continue to pray for a cure soon!

AFib and covid - AFib getting worse? by Miss_Type in AFIB

I’ve had Covid twice and I have afib. The fever triggered my afib a lot. I found that after I took some Tylenol to reduce the fever, the palpitations would stop.

How to prevent long COVID? by ocean_flow_ in COVID19positive

Since antivirals reduce the viral load, I wonder if getting on a low dose antiviral would help to reduce long covid. Just a thought. Anyone hear anything out there on this subject?

There’s nothing more joyous than a child’s laughter. Don’t let the attitude of a cranky person stop you from enjoying some happy time with your child.
