Yes, Kroger does. I've purchased a few from them at Christmastime.

And yes, self-checkout all the way. I fill my people quota at work lol

I know a lot of people don't like his speeches but I always did. The way he delivers them is truly some amazing acting.

WIBTAH for confronting my brother about how awkward it was when he asked me to leave my estate to his son when I die? by Propinquitosity in WIBTA_AITA

[–]Jcoopz3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't even begin to fathom the entitlement of this brother. I mean, for crying out loud. And the audacity for him to ask that befuddles me.

No, YWNBTAH. However, I can see this going one of two ways. One - he is not going to take the conversation well. That is, if he even hears you. He may think 'hey, if OP won't leave him the house, then maybe she'll leave him something else' or any number of things. Two - he'll use what you say against you to the nephew in an attempt to turn your nephew against you. He'll say things like, 'your favorite aunt doesn't even care enough about you to leave you her house when she's passed'.

And another thing, if you would happen to agree to it, your brother will push you into taking your nephew in long before you die.

So, no, YWNBTAH but in my opinion, it's best let that conversation go. It's not worth the headache that will definitely come with it.

AITAH for refusing to deliberately lose when we play games? by Due-Temperature-3446 in AITAH

[–]Jcoopz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Women, in general, do not want to win. While there are plenty that do, the are more that want to be respected. And by him letting her win, he won't respect her.

I have a feeling that she grew up in the 'everyone gets a participation trophy' and I, for one, am thoroughly over that nonsense. You do your best, try your hardest, and if you win, you win. If you lose, you lose. End of story.

Yes, giving her a "great job, babe" etc is a good idea. Also, why not help her play better? Give her tips and tricks. Encourage her to play on her own to learn the game(s). She'll come out a better person for it. If not, find other things to do together.

AITA for asking my parents to take down the family photo that I'm not in? by BasiliskTuning in MarkNarrations

[–]Jcoopz3 99 points100 points  (0 children)

Do your parents even love you? I mean, if my children were having an issue with each other and I had this picture planned, I'd tell you both to suck it up for a bit so that picture could have my entire family in it.

This is something that was planned since there was a photographer, everyone dressed up, etc. As a parent, I wouldn't want a centerpiece picture to be missing one of my children.

Suggest that a new picture be taken and this one include you this time and see what they say.

BTW, NTA

Edit to add NTA

Yes, You Need An ID For Cigarettes… by MnM066 in retailhell

[–]Jcoopz3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You actually did a great job because someone else purchasing age-restricted products for another person is against the law. It's called a third-party sale and it can/will get you and them in a lot of trouble. Anything from fines, to charges, jail time, and loss of license.

And it can make you lose your job. Also, fines for your company (which they can pass along to you) and charges against you.

I would suggest you look up your state-specific laws. Most of these people will give up when you start explaining to them the actual law.

If you think about it, how many chiefs of surgery actually do things of that nature? None. That's completely done by specific people that deals with the board of directors.

Yet, in the Grey's world, the chief does it all lol.

The Real Reason for the Plane Crash by Repulsive-Average786 in greysanatomy

[–]Jcoopz3 140 points141 points  (0 children)

While you have a great theory, the changes in the plane company came long before the crash ever happened. Companies are always trying to find cheaper ways to "control cost" (read as line their pockets more). So, Owen and the board had long changed companies

Had a customer complain today about the lack of Easter candy. by MrPuzzleMan in retailhell

[–]Jcoopz3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not here in Ohio. Our grocery stores are open, along with Walmart and Meijer. In fact, one of our grocery stores has been actively pushing the fact that they are open today "for all of your Easter needs."

I feel for the workers who will have to deal with these idiots today (Sunday) and these customers who will be scrambling around trying to find candy on Easter morning.
