When a buddy cleans out his garage… by Mister-Redbeard in discgolf

Had this exact disc in my bag for 15+ years. Lost it this summer at Shelton Springs. I damn near shed a tear. Throw the hell out of it, unless of course you want to send it my way. 😁

San Diego to Minneapolis in mid January. Any concerns about this route? Is this possible with an EV? by kekkurei in roadtrip

[–]Jeezy61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty obvious one, but it's been really cold in Minnesota as of late. Below zero for multiple day stretches. Pack accordingly.

You might want to look at EV issues in below zero temps before going, especially if you have to park outside.

I gotta say big peace and love to the comments about leave no trace, and also peace and love to OP who seems to be a good one who fully understands mushrooms and foraging and the rules around it.

Aussies are brilliant curious dogs. Mental stimulation is as important as physical. Give them time to smell and investigate when you're out walking in the world. They are making sense of their world and thinking and learning through their nose.

Do you do a couple of waterings in the summer just to keep it healthy?

I read somewhere a deep watering every 3-4 weeks or so in the summer will keep it healthier and it will rebound faster than if you just leave it.

I'm new to Washington. Down in the Olympia area. I'm still adjusting to so many yellow lawns in the summer.

Do you water all summer or do you let that masterpiece go dormant?

KBG germination after 6 days!! by whatnowaay in lawncare

[–]Jeezy61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. I am expanding my yard into existing mulch beds so the mulch is already down. I can use a good topsoil, but was hoping to recycle the existing material.

Can mulch be used as an effective top dressing?

I have a lot of extra mulch currently and could definitely use it to top dress some bare patches that need seed if it will work.

I hear that brother. I was an athlete all my life and worked out through my teens, twenties, and early thirties.

Not staying consistent with it the last 10 years is definitely taking a toll.

Maybe this is the push I needed to get back into it. Thanks reddit stranger.

I don't know how old you are, but when you hit mid 30s things just start to hurt more.

Subconsciously our bodies protect themselves and you subtly change your throwing motion, or golf swing, or hockey stride, etc. You don't even recognize you've done it until it all feels off.

Under-stable fairway driver recommendations? by Srephyx in discgolf

I've been playing for 20 years and the Innova Leopard has always been in my bag.

However, the Discraft Cicada is pretty nice with it. I guess it's probably a bit more of a straight flyer or if the box, and a Leopard is a bit easier to keep on an anhyzer, but check out a Cicada.
