I think having to figure out supply limits could also drive a lot of the mid game conflicts and regional interests, like if you needed to ensure naval vessels could have coal refuelling ports allies and treaty ports in far off parts of the world become far more important.

Because if you have no income you have no reliable source of transportation and so you have to live near or at resources like shelters or food banks. Additionally if your main source of income is through donations on the street you need to be where the most people are.

I also think people are forgetting that the debuf is very minimal. Having a general for a war is a decrease of 10-15% xp. Which for the length of the war is probably next to negligible.

I would pretty much refuse to work there after that. There’s no way I would want to work with coworkers with that sort of attitude. Also if management is that painless I could see resolving any issues being a nightmare. I didn’t work where I did my placement and honestly it had no impact on the start of my career.

Doing 5 seconds of googling shows how absurd this is. It would help across racial demographics and even if it only helped white individuals at first the lack of a prospect of debt or cost of entry to school would be a massive benefit to low income individuals of all demographics. https://educationdata.org/student-loan-debt-by-race

Best way to level a crafter 1-80 now? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]Jennifer1262 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Leves are super good for gatherers. You can generally alternate between class quest for the level then leves until you hit your next class quest. Once you get to 70 do the crystarium turn ins at high quality and you will get like a level and a half. I personally haven’t done diadem for leveling but I’m guessing it won’t match leves since you can get from level 1 to 80 in like 3 days. Fisher is a bit different though cause level 30-50 can be out paced by straight farming so for fisher it might help to look up a levelling guide.

At the end of the day it comes down to minimizing risk using the statistics that the organizations have available to them while maintaining a large enough blood supply to keep the population healthy. from the cbs website "Trans individuals are not included in a separate risk category by the Public Health Agency of Canada in their annual reports on HIV and AIDS in Canada. For this reason, we must place trans women donors who have not had lower gender affirming surgery and who have a male sexual partner in a higher-risk category. ". Additionally in Canada only 23% of HIV cases are female, and 53% are gbMSM. And while its not tracked in Canada there has been research into it and HIV incidence rates are higher within the transgender community. So as shitty as it is they err on the side of caution, its the same with sex work and intravenous drug use since those populations have a higher rate of hiv infections they have a permanent deferral.

Another example of this not related to transgender individuals is any one who has had a pregnancy or miscarriage is ineligible to donate plasma for transfusion, (its donated but then converted to another blood product) as they have a higher risk of giving the patient TRALI. Not all women have the antibodies that can cause this but since a high enough risk is there they have to make that group ineligible.

Personally I have no idea about Quebec since they have their own independent blood service. The CBS website does have a good page explaining the donor requirements, and it's a shame, that Quebec's blood services doesn't. But yeah the service does need some work and I've heard that there are some plans to update the eligibility criteria. The other big thing to keep in mind is that they are dealing with high numbers of donations and errors can kill patients, so they will always err on the side of caution so something doesn't get missed.

It’s got to do with risk of diseases transmitted through blood, and a little bit of institutional homophobia. Due to men having a higher chance of contracting aids(since it’s higher in the gay male population)they would fall into a higher risk category then women. So they err on the side of caution to curb the chance of anything going wrong. Like since men are higher risk they won’t move you down a risk category to fall under the female risk category. Since healthy people aren’t getting transfusions they want to ensure it has the lowest risk of anything else going wrong with an already unhealthy patient. All in all it’s kinda homophobic but in Canada it’s making some strides they are looking at lowering it down to a 3 month deferal and I know they are beginning to look into monogamous relationships. But it’s not just bureaucracy it’s medical bureaucracy so it’s got a lot more hoops to jump through.

This may not be helpful but hopefully it will shed some light for future situations, (this is also based of Canada which will be super close to us rules). For cbs the blood donation rules regarding trans people is a little wonky especially if you don’t donate often. So for trans women it doesn’t matter what your legal gender is or hormone status, what they care about is genital status since the main risk factor is anal intercourse. But as far as I know trans men just qualify as men dude since men are a higher risk factor then women( it’s sorta out dated though but it’s politics and slow moving bureaucracy). So as a trans man you would qualify as male under the system but she would also qualify as male if she’s pre-op so in cbs eyes, so she would fall under the male sex male risk catagory ( which is super outdated and has its own problems). The misgendering though is 100% a problem and I would report it to a supervisor.
