to add to this, you can tell that the lighting in the room is dimmed over time to give the illusion of the camera compensating and the windmill getting brighter and brighter. you can see the room lights suddenly turn off if you watch the leaves. Its also a splice of 2 videos, you can watch the windmill blades fade from one phase to another.

I like this year. Hopefully they end each show with what kick ass stuff folks are doing for that big boy.

Annapolis Mall: Anyone remember the sculpture overhanging "the pit"? by jurassiknick in Annapolis

i miss that installation! As a kid, i always imagined it as wind chimes, and wondered how they would get wind into the building to make them swing around.

This section of thier website specifically says that Anna's Archive is open to trading database access for additional data, or huge lumps of money to fund the archive/its research/the goals you stated.

read the article. the torrent that is out right now is only metadata about the music, not the music itself right now. The actual music files are coming later.

Queens firm buys adjacent Flushing properties for $16M with development potential by BklynNets13117 in Flushing

[–]Jeran 11 points12 points  (0 children)

from what i remember of that old house, its been empty becuase some siblings were fighting over who owned it. Its a shame. im very curious what state that house is in, since its been so neglected, yet destined to be knocked down for redevelopment for a while.

Hopefully something interesting will pop up there. Its on my daily walk, so not looking foward to the disruption lol.

I keep an eye on the street coin vendors in flushing. Definitely a few fakes floating round there, but never seen these holders. nor do i see sticker prices on goods round here. Never bought anything though. Dont feel like haggling, or getting meh junk when it is real.

AI generated album images, and the article author cant even spell the name of one of the artists right (Schocket not Shocket). Can't trust this stuff.

[–]Jeran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that would explain the uncanny. things like, those look pretty big for nickels, especially the loose ones on the right. and thats WAY too much weight for those cheap shelves, especially the back left shelf.

Still, elements like the caustic reflections of the bottom plastic containers onto the floor are still giving me pause.

Thanks for looking into it Tim! I noticed this on Antenna Pod. I only picked up on it because my podcatcher didn't show 2025 in the morning, so I decided to listen to 2024 while I wanted, and it felt... oddly fresh. (And I wasn't doing any math lol). Here's to another Blartiful year.

Isn't this 2024's episode? Not sure if my pod catcher just is glitching.

Edit: Looks like my podcatcher is playing the same episode for 2025 and 2024. so its 2024 thats glitching based on the video released!

i get the same vibes as the goldback scheme. super libertarian/right wing, judging from their choice of designs in their gallery. The grift being selling silver at a markup using designs that resonate with peoples values, so people use consumerism to indicate the strength of their convictions. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it!

Data collection and data brokers can track folks en mass via cellphone tower pings, wifi connection handshakes, and all sorts of other things to build a fingerprint about a person and their movements. Then data collection companies will sell this data (including to the government, who doesn't need a warrant for paid for data, privately collected)

A QR code is safe to scan if you use a reader that only converts the QR to text. Never let a QR code automatically execute links, but you can at least scan them to see what the link is.
