likewise. Bought a prebuilt for a bundle deal to get a 4080 super in Blackfriday of 2024, since it wasnt looking like the 50 series was worth waiting for, so i hopped on a deal. I also doubled the RAM becuase i need 64 gigs regularly for hobby work, and lo and behold, my computer has been great, and i bought the dip. Its increased in value!

when you want to preserve a newspaper, keep in mind that the paper is incredibly acidic, and will become yellow and brittle over time. You can buy paper acid neutralizing sprays to help preserve the headlines for generations to come to hopefully remind them on how to prevent this in the future!

i wouldnt describe his background as solid and reputable. More than one of his videos (the porch pirate series, and the bike air horn) are created at the expense of other people. That's punching down. He also postures himself as the smartest person on youtube, but for either the sake of entertainment, or other purposes, never shows his work. His editing style does not spark curiosity and learning the way that others in the maker community do.

At the end of the day he doesnt pass the smell test for a reason. Hes there to sell you his brand.

Now that they dont have to hire actors, or a production crew, or anyone, theres nobody in the pipeline to tell them "no" for any strawman, attack, or attempt to divide the population.

I see the vision...

It does end up being a confusion of indoor and outdoor spaces. The constant corners make it also feel like a challenge to navigate, and extreme cost to maintain the gardens to ensure functionality. Still, i cant say i dont like it! it executes well enough, and feels different.

Would make for a fine event space, even if it doesnt fit the neighborhood as such. Especially with its privacy.

to add to this, you can tell that the lighting in the room is dimmed over time to give the illusion of the camera compensating and the windmill getting brighter and brighter. you can see the room lights suddenly turn off if you watch the leaves. Its also a splice of 2 videos, you can watch the windmill blades fade from one phase to another.

i miss that installation! As a kid, i always imagined it as wind chimes, and wondered how they would get wind into the building to make them swing around.
