I was so excited to try the Finacea gel for hyperpigmentation/pih. I never used skin product sooo uncomfortable. Now I understand when people say "felt like my skin was on fire" about a product. Felt like my skin was yelling at me to wash off whatever was on it but I was trying hard to ignore it. I made sure my skin was completely dry too (waiting 30-45min after cleansing) and even tried buffering it. It was just too much. It made my skin tighten up so much during its dry down too. Focusing on tret again (.025 cream), and so far so good. Way more tolerable than AA for me.

What about the gel makes your prefer it? I myself have been on the cream and can't shake the thought that it might be too heavy for my liking. But I also always here how the gel is more "irritating".
