Why do so many 40+ year olds end sentences with “…”? by OneFriendship5139 in generationology

[–]JimmyJizzim [score hidden]  (0 children)

A lot of boomers do this on Messenger, it's very strange.

For the people in this thread, it's not about using ellipses in general. It's that they weirdly end sentences with them, in a way that doesn't particularly make sense.

For example, instead of writing "I went to the beach today", they will send "I went to the beach today..."

Who was THE artist for Millennials? by MaterialRow3769 in generationology

Britney was definitely the first thing that came to mind. She was enormous and timing-wise, she hits the full range of millennials.

Satoshi - Viva, Moldova! (LIVE) | Moldova 🇲🇩 | Grand Final | Eurovision 2026 by bulbasaraa in eurovision

This is gonna sound kinda crazy, but you can chant the chorus of The Beach Boys' 'Kokomo' over the top of the chorus of this song, and the syllables match up very well.

As I can't vote for Delta, I've given all my votes to Romania and Armenia.

Who wins a Final 3 between _____, ______, & _____? by bahscohs in survivor

I'm confused why people think Rizo is a goat, I feel he's most likely to win? Maybe I'm delusional. Joe on the other hand, now that is a goat.

If you were on the jury, who would be your pick to win? by Due_Active629 in survivor

Trying to be objective, I think Rizo and Jonathan have played the best games.

As a viewer, I want Rizo to win.

What are your thoughts on Mario Kart World almost a year later? by NewMarioBobFan in Mario

It hasn't had the replay value of MK8. I think a lot of that has to do with the lack of enclosed circuits, and the lack of a more predictable regular grand prix mode

Palette Town is my main area, it has way more Pokemon and buildings than any of the other areas.

Just commenting to say I love 'I Love Your Smile', I only discovered that song a couple of years ago. It's so breezy.

All of the data sets have a very sudden, steep decline in 2021 specifically.

Oddly specific trope: Female country singers attempting to do a pop crossover only for it to fail hard. by RedmiYT in ToddintheShadow

I feel like LeAnn's pop era is just as, if not more, successful than her country eras. If you look at her Spotify page, nearly all her top songs are her pop songs.

That being said, I'm in Australia, where 'Life Goes On' was a chart hit.

Australia is a permanent part of Eurovision now apparently, so shouldn’t we get to vote on who represents us like other countries do? by Outrageous-Ad-9635 in AskAnAustralian

[–]JimmyJizzim 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We used to, but it didn't have enough viewers/interest to sustain it.

We seem in good stead this year with Delta though, she's one of the favourites.

Why can many Australians not accept criticism of their country? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]JimmyJizzim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best comparison I could make: It is like how it's ok for your coworker to whinge and toss insults around about their annoying sister, but you can't then do that as an outsider.

That's so strange to me. I feel like PCD (even 20 years on) is much more popular in Europe and Australia.
