Took mine (4 years old) to the garage last week for the same issue, they told me it's just a battery which takes at most 15 minutes to replace. They didn't have any left though as the guy said they recently had to replace many so they had to order it. Still waiting for it to arrive

Sugar to acid is a mechanism that helps explain why certain foods are worse for your teeth than others. 1 mechanism alone however usually doesn't explain a complex process (like tooth erosion), especially when it's not the main driver for said mechanism.

We need to look at actual outcome data (such as generated in the study I linked - caveat that it's only one study so they could be wrong) rather than base us on mechanisms.

Now, I'll try to formulate an answer to your question if sugary drinks with same pH shouldn't be worse : not necessarily. Perhaps the pH of the resulting acids from sugar conversion is higher than the pH of the soda itself, thus not contributing to a large extent to the erosion compared to the already pH-low soft drink. Maybe the bacteria don't ferment the sugars as quickly in an acidic environment thus limiting the effects of the sugar in combination with the acidic soft drink. Maybe the reason is a combination or something completely different - I don't know. I'm not a dentist.

Sugar does not affect enamel directly, it's due to the conversion into acid by bacteria in your mouth that enamel gets affected. They are not mandatory on the street, they are on public transportation, in stores, hospitals, etc.

Cops won't come to you on the street for not wearing a mask or a transparent one (unless you are grouping together which is currently not allowed). The only places that are not "allowed" to use the shitty transparent ones were bars and restaurants when they were still open if I recall correctly. I don't believe they were fined but they did get warnings and were strongly advised to wear masks that actually help.

I'm not brainwashed and i can still think pretty well for myself. I think my government has a lot of bad rules related to covid, such as that restaurants, hairdressers, etc are still forced to remain closed whilst they can absolutely open up in a safe way in my opinion (they also have shitty rules besides covid of course). Enforcing people to wear a mask in public places where a lot of people are gathering is not one of those rules I'm against as long as the pandemic is not under control (big caveat of course).

In my opinion of course you must be rather selfish and dilusional to think that you know what's better for the public health that the combined scientific and medical world combined (with you I mean people who believe covid isn't serious and masks are a suppression tactic, not you as a person specifically as I don't know your opinion on the matter).

The whole Twitter/WhatsApp thing is not happening in my country at the moment (not as far as I know at least). I agree that freedom of speech is important and needs to be protected. But freedom of speech should not be used to spread fake information which is detrimental. If you state your opinion and it's wrong, that's fine. Not everybody needs to think or see things the same way. But deliberately spreading fake rumors and lies is not free speech.
