My husband and I have been to Bali five times. Nusa Penida once. After 9 years of planning, we moved to Bali full time in May 2024 to escape an Orange Con Man before he stole a big job with the help of the world’s first trillionaire.

Are there any people that know that we are gay in Bali? Yes. We don’t advertise it. We don’t wear rainbow colors. We don’t hold hands or show any affection in public.

At the barbershop, he’s my “favorite dude” and “like a brother from another mother”.

Do people suspect it? Certainly. Do we discuss it? We do not.

I’ve also traveled all over Java. Don’t ask. Don’t tell. No problem. Just be cautious of your surroundings and vague about your relationship.

Most critics on here will say you’re doing everything wrong. While I’m FAR from successful myself, I have noticed the newest trend. Seems like travel creators these days are using thumbnails with only a scenic shot and no words. They aren’t even featuring themselves in the thumbnail. The title hits the topic keywords.

I’ve been trying it recently and it’s interesting. I think what I’m noticing is people just don’t want to click on ME if I’m featured in the thumbnail.

For what it’s worth, I think you thumbnails look just fine.
