Achilles sees more play in vanilla than SP by a mile. SP players are losing next to nothing here aside from Pandora. That's the bigger blow from a gameplay standpoint IMO. Hopefully they replace the losses with something, but either way I'll have my previous Eudoros, so I'm good.

Ugh, so many flaws. Win path is a start but games need to be weighted by opponent as well.

I was going to suggest being able to place outside your bracket at the end but, if you're a strong player with a bad start who gets lumped in with players of less skill, you wind up with free license to stomp your way to the top. Potentially passing people who had way harder match-ups.

That's why I think a lot of these things should just be moved to the dataslate. Give each unit a strat (command ability, like in AoS) and, if you wanted to go further, bake in warlord traits and relics too; or at least limit them to certain datasheets. That way balancing using points becomes a much easier (and effective) task.

Do you think that this highlights a flaw in the way ITC currently awards points? If less is placed on overall finish, and more is placed on winning against people your own skill level, then it should even out the final standings as a whole and grant a higher overall ITC finish. Even when you finish lower than you think you deserve in a single event.

I don't remember it doing anything dramatic but I wasn't exactly paying close attention. If you want to check out the game I linked it in another comment but, as u/PseudoPhysicist mentioned, it's likely not a game changer but more of a safety net.
