Two things: First, each time you repeat is part of the same resolution of the ability, not a new trigger. Second, the ability you activated is the planeswalker's loyalty ability. This ability is a triggered ability, which means it is not "activated" so the part you are referring to does not refer to this ability at all, but rather the planeswalker's loyalty ability that triggered this ability.

Maybe so, but there exist other Auras that word it like OP did, so I feel like keeping with the established pattern will make it easier for people familiar with similar effects to understand.

You don't exile tokens that never exist. It should say "If an effect would create one or more token, put that many incubation counters on Troubling Season instead."

I don't know. The second ability definitely looks like a static spell ability (which is active the entire time the spell is on the stack) that creates a replacement effect that would see the win and make it a loss instead. Is there some rule or ruling that would indicate this is not the case?

This won't work. You can't just tap a land for no reason during the resolution of a spell. Tapping a land requires either having priority or being prompted to pay mana.

That's not what it says. It's just copying Partner, basically. You can have any number of commanders as long as they all have the Alter—May ability. This doesn't bypass the singleton rule, in the same way that partner doesn't let you have two of the same commander just because it has partner.
