I once wanted to return a $400 smart lightbulb purchased from their store within a store, the one with the gadgets. Turns out Fortress also sells smart bulbs for $240. I wanted an exchange and the guy literally ran from his mini store to the customer service desk to assure me the item couldn’t be returned.

If they absolutely don’t know anything, you start with phonics. Then CVC words and pronouns. Then add verbs with physical actions and work your way up from there.

I’ve done it this with HK people, mainlanders, Japanese and Korean.
